I was just wondering if anyone else here has been in a "good" enough fight to have lost some teeth. I realize this is not a "fun" topic but maybe the "protection" of the internet will let some truth come through. I have and I can't be alone with this.

So a short story rundown; I use to do a fair amount of drinking. When I was 21 I got into a good barfight with 3, I think, dudes. I was holding ground then got hit in the back with one of those heavy bar metal stools. I went down. As soon as I hit the ground I got kicked in the face 4 times with steel toe work boots. I jumped up and kept fighting, drunk remember. When cops started to show I ran. Later in the morning, after getting sober, I realized I broke 4 teeth. One for each kick I guess.

Well thats the story of the night I quit drinking. Would you be kind and share yours? Scared

Haha, nope, never lost teeth in a fight, thankfully. That must have been a crappy morning.

I have, however, woken up with a cracked rib....

Worse morning EVER. Hungover and in an amazing amount of pain.

A cracked rib? Thats some heavy sleeping saldiven lol. I broke two in a work "incident". Slipped and caught the beam with my sternum so I know that sucks.

And just so everyone knows, I am not the fighting a##hole that it sounds like. This was also one of the last times I have fought. Wisedom with age, right?

Where those broken teeth go?

When I fight with the one who bullied me when I was still a child, 11-12 years old.

I feel that my teeth get loose (just a little bit), but to be broken, or suffer severe injuries because of fighting, nothing!!!

Well, good thing that you quit on drinking alcohol now @_@

No idea where they went SoulSnatcher. You get hurt when you fight with groups and you are alone. Not the smartest thing to do for sure. Good thing though is pain is somehow different now. I broke my middle knuckle on my hand and set it myself. I never felt it and it was definitly broken. Another time was my ring finger, same thing. My "work" is dangerous now and injuries are common.

LOL I love that I misspelled WISDOM LOL  The drinking thing is somewhat awkward at parties though. It made me stop going to them altogether.

My cracked ribs occurred during a younger period where I enjoyed partaking of alcohol as well.

To this day, I have no idea how I did it. It's a miserable amount of pain. Literally everything you can do hurts. Standing hurts, sitting hurts, laying down hurts, breathing hurts....

yep saldiven thats cracked ribs. When mine broke I felt like a ninja. I had to focus on every breath for about a week. That is very tiring. Then sore for 2 months.

The worst part was when I complained about the difficulty in breathing to my doctor, she was very adamant that I had to just suck it up and try to breath normally. She said that if I limited myself to shallow breathing to avoid the pain, I would almost certainly end up with pneumonia from not adequately evacuating the moist air from my lungs. She told me to imagine how much it would hurt if I had a constant, deep, wracking cough while having incompletely healed ribs.

I was told "don't be a b###h" by my doctor. Your doctor sounds way nicer than mine saldiven. Worse thing about the ribs is I had to still go to work. The lesson is to pay attention at work.

Losing teeth in a fight? Do you even know how to fight?

Well, I haven't actually been in a lot of fight. I usually choose not to. Even if I must, I usually try to make it as short as possible. Knock the guy out in a single punch or two (a well-placed one, that is). That's what they teach you in martial arts class. If words is enough, no need to get physical. If it comes to physical contact, make it as short as possible to avoid serious injury (although they taught me how to inflict serious injury in a single quick move).

No, wait... I don't wanna remember those days anymore... My fighting days are behind me... No... Please don't...

hahaha Can I fight Hohoho Onion  The answer would be yes and I feel the same as you now Medios. When I use to fight I would hurt people but towards the end of my Douchebagging I would "play" with them. More so when drunk. Pride can get you killed, or in this case hurt, badly.

No worries though. I am not like that anymore. Peace Onion No fights unless I'm defending myself or others.

Good thing about it I was still small and weak at that time. Not now though. My job has made me afraid to fight anyone now out of fear for their safety. 40lbs makes a big difference Onion Smile
