@thoseguiltyeyes Really appreciate your translation and subtitle! Help a lot spreading the love of Scandal. It's been quite a while since we see Tomomi talk that much.
Btw, who is ranked no.3 for most would like to cover?

@thoseguiltyeyes - I'm here in read-only in general, but you're brilliant as always and I wanna thank you so much for all this work you do for us. Tons of thanks for you.

About video - actually they say very reasonable things, especially about singing drum parts. Really works. Also I've never seen that simple kind of F major chord, I struggled to get full fingering that time xD

Interesting video, and I'm glad to see that Chatmonchy are still somehow among the favorites of young Japanese girls.

Also why would anyone not named Jimi Hendrix want to use their thumb to play the low E string?

Thank You for the translation. It is indeed a very inspirational video.

After seeing the video I'd like to try to play guitar too. I didn't know that you only 30 minutes to play the start of DOLL. Playing the guitar is certainly not easy and definitely needs a lot of practice. But it would be a fun experience.

I wondered, too, as I think of that as Jimi's modified barre chord method (or Wilco Johnson). But, whatever works for people! What a fun segment to watch. Everyone should try playing music if they have an interest.

Being an Essex boy I am happy to tell you that Wilco is still very much about and I was a huge Dr. Feelgood fan Happy

I've never seen anyone using their thumb to do a F chord, always did it barre.

Oh well, nice video.

Just to chime in and back up Haruna, In my guitar class in junior high (7th grade) our teacher taught us to do the finger placement for F with that thumb method. But she also taught us the proper way too like Haruna.

Nice to see the girls interacting with young fans and giving some instruction.  I recall seeing in another program a couple years ago of Rina teaching a girl how to drum.  The "singing along" method is a good tip.  I do that for guitar, but never thought of it for drums.

As for the thumb on the low E string-- don't poo poo it.  I incorporate this sometimes to get a bass note in the rhythm without strumming across the neck.  It also gives your fingers more options for extreme chord situations.  And yes, it does work well on Hendrix tunes.  "Voodoo Child" is a good example.
