Just for everyone's comfort, spoilers for any series should have a spoiler cut...

Let's just start off with: which is your favorite heisei rider series and why? and if it applies, which is your favorite showa series and why? =P

I've never watched a showa series, but my favorite heisei series is W because it is everything: funny, emotional, and captivating.

edit: just as an afterthought, I'm sorry about my dp being spoiler-ish, but it won't be if you don't think much about it...

Ah a Kamen Rider thread !! :D

My favourite Heisei series . . for the time being , I'll say OOO . I like OOO's concept of form changing and combination , and it's interesting to see more medal combinations !! Double has form changing also , but W got nearly all his form from the beginning of the series so it's not as interesting as OOO who gets his form slowly (he even lose his Core Medals sometimes LOL)

And one of the best memorable Heisei rider is Decade . Decade successfully turned me into a Kamen Rider fanboy LOL , watching Decade revived my love for Kuuga and Ryuki when I was younger :D and because of Decade , I started watching Blade , Faiz and Kiva , ah and Den-O and Kabuto also

i like kiva, blade followed by faiz.
my thoughts on decade, bring everybody back but not much plot n story.
Den-o is like a comedy for kids lol.
OOOs, so many hundreds of form tats is ugly..
showa its gotta be black n black rx, jfor the plot n of cos shadowmoon!

ah awesome a Kamen Rider thread.
Thoughts on the Heisei riders ,
Kuuga , Agito - Pure awesome
Ryuki - My first KR show , and i must say , its quite good.
Faiz - henshin with phones are just cool .
Blade - quite a unique story. watch it , unexpected ending.
Hibiki - never really got into it , but it seemed cool.
Kabuto - Tendou is awesome . nuff said.
Den-O - my least favourite of KR. too childish imo
Kiva - BITE ! . IXA ftw.
Decade - a good KR for the 10th anniversary. loved the story.
W - THIS IS JUST PURE AWESOME. one of my fav , but the ending was kinda ...
OOO - quite nice . CORE MEDAAALLLSS. love the combos etc.
i wonder what the 20th anniversary rider will look like .

I hope the newest installment for Kamen Rider won't be a four-in-one Rider ..
When Kamen Rider W aired , some of my friends said that the idea of two-in-one is a bit strange . And then I joked that the next rider will be a three-in-one Rider or at least has 3 forms in one body . And voila ! When OOO came out , we were shocked that my prediction was correct

For me the Best Rider would always be Kamen Rider Black (Black Sun), the storyline is not the typical Tokatsu kids stuff of the 80s and it has the coolest villain in the Rider universe (Shadow Moon). First saw it when I was 5, ever since then Minami Kotaro (Robert Akizuki) became my childhood hero I was even hit by a motor bike because I thought it was Battle Hopper so I ran straight to it the next thing I know I'm lying in my bed. The ending is also not what you would expect for a show geared toward children.

Then after 15 years of not having any new Rider show in the Philippines Ryuki was the first to be aired in local TV. I'm a little disappointed, so used to the seriousness of Black then suddenly this new Rider using cards to finish of his enemies. Card and Rider doesn't fair well to me but after getting use to it the story is quite good.

My favorite for the new generation of Riders would be Decade, good opening song. And every episode you get to see a different Rider. The most memorable episode is around 27 or 28 when Kotaro Minami (Tetsuo Kurata) reprise his role as Kamen Rider Black and doing then Henshin sequence after 20 years or so... I'm nearly in tears while watching it....

the decade story has so much expectations but
all the riders came out for a few secs only except kurata role..
there also a 40th anniversary rider movie coming soon..

actually i started with faiz first, and then blade, then kiva after like, 5 years or so, so seeing them in decade was kinda.... disappointing... but the characters in decade are good, just that the story lacks coherence (imo)

i think kabuto was hiro's best role (among his other shows I've watched), coz i just liked him better as the 'man who walked the path of heaven' and whatever XD

Honestly the last KR I watched is Faiz in 2004, and I stopped watching the series for various reasons. For my fav would be Kuuga. I like the story cos it's serious, it actually shows many emotion especially about the victims and the aftermath to their families/colleagues, and "fight to protect everyone's smile" is a line that I remember ever since I was a kid back then. And of course the thumbs up.

And I never watch the series anymore til my KR maniac friend in high school plays Den-O in class and I was quite shocked when I saw it, like haruna80 said, it's like comedy for kids XD

well Den-O is the funniest KR in Heisei I guess . and that's why kids love it (in my opinion) ! Den-O is so famous in Japan , this can be seen easily . Den-O has the most movies ! Ore Tanjou , Climax Deka (with Kiva) , Saraba Den-O , Chou Den-O (with Decade) , The Chou Den-O Trilogy , and the 40th Anniversary will be Den-O (with OOO and older Riders) ..

well , if you've never watched any Kamen Rider series . Don't . watch . Decade .
It may cause some addiction , and it will introduce you to older Kamen Riders !

I Think From another KR I just like Faiz cause his fighting style is so cool...
And I think Den-O is funniest KR, but I like when the imajin entered Ryotaro's body his style is very awsome and cool I think
