SCANDAL HEAVEN Fan Letter

Ok let's start this.

This is the fan letter project that SH members came up with. Our goal is to send a fan letter to SCANDAL to express our love and support for the band.

BTW Sorry for the start of this to take long, I was extremely busy during the last quarter of 2009 and I have to discuss it more with porcupine_tree.

Well based on the things that we discussed, we came up with 2 main problems for now.

1. Mailing address

- Well of course we need to know where we will send it. The only thing that came up on our mind is their myspace account, but because we don't have a myspace account, we are not that sure about this.

2. Letter type

- Another thing is what type we will send, either a physical letter or an electronic letter.
- A physical letter will be very troublesome, as it will need more work in-order to send it.
- An electronic letter will be more easier as the power of internet can help us in many ways.

For now those two are the main bugger, so guys let's discuss about this. Let's combine our minds to make this thing a success.
Post all suggestions or anything you want to say that can help this project, little or big, anything that can help is very much welcome.

I know this project will be hard and will take a long time, but like porcu said, it's better to do things slowly than a rushed job.

Let's do our best then!

As for the address, someone or maybe (SHE*) said before that we can only mail things to the staff. I'll try to find that post.

I would like to suggest some things about the type of letter.

First thing is that the physical letter will be snail mailed right? So we can do something pretty unique and with lots of creativity and dedication and I feel that they will feel really special receiving it.

Through email, well we have VERY TALENTED people here. Photoshop, graphics making, lettering and everything else that may be added will be done. I agree that the computer along with the internet pretty much make things easier.

This is all I can think for now.

ok i like the idea of this guys, an electronic letter would be good - easy to do, my questions is theres too many members who wants to express their feeling to them so. . . First, i wanna know if we're gonna do the letter as generally SH letter - no special mentions of the members name, or we can do a partial general SH letter and partial special mentions from the admins/staff. - with the 2nd option we should probably put a limit on how long maybe 1-2 paragraphs? maybe it's good if we know the limit - how long the letter would be, also if it's long enough to cover all our message. . .

Well yeah, if we think about it, the staffs will be the first ones who will receive the letters.

Hmmmm a general letter eh, what do you think guys? I think having it individually is better, but we can also have a general letter. Just my opinion though.

I think it's better to talk about the letter body once we finalize the type of letter we're sending.

1. if we're going to do individual letters, th problems is that there are going to be too many and the staffs might think twice about giving them to th girls
2. if its a general letter, it'll be too long to fit all of th members' comments

so my suggestion is that, one member can only write one sentence, but they have to REALLY think about that one sentence, a sentence that sums up ALL their feelings.

about the letter body, im thinking of one/two page/s of writing then a couple for fanarts from th members. hope i helped

A sentence for each member sounds good.That's what we did in the YL collab to YUI.And the end result wasn't very big or long,i mean okay,only the people who participated wrote down the stuff,but it was still around 20+ people writing.

hmmm ya i think general type would go well. . . 1 sentence is fine be clear and concise about it i know we will probably have same things about to tell them. . . so think throughtly and make yours unique. . . I have another ideas for the letter parts. . . Introduction paragraph would be the reason why we created the forum and our future plans for it. . . Body will consist of members sentences and our hopes for them. . . . Conclusion would be the admin and staff part <--- representing the whole SH community in the whole msg and future expectations from the girls. . .

I think special video is a great idea, but that would be another project for us. . . unless it's a short vid. . . hmmm i wonder what would be in it

A cover of one of their songs is nice, maybe we can try acoustic?? It will also be good if we say something to them in our native language..

I have a concept...first we make a script...and then we read it one by one...then I can edit the videos..merge it all...and make it become one video...

for example:
1. the script is.."WE LOVE SCANDAL"
2. we read it and record it in our place...
3. YUH upload the video...
4. I edit the video
5. and the result is like this:
----"WE(by eugene-boy)...LOVE(by mc)...SCANDAL(by kono)...*

that is the example...of course we need a longer script...

How about a tribute video? We could make a short video with various clips from their PVs and interviews compiled together in a stylistic way and then follow up with the aforementioned letter or how about using koide's idea, I like that idea a lot and it might work! <3

In the letter we could use harunatic's idea to say something to them in Japanese, maybe like hello and telling them why we're fans and how much their music means to us, etc. and shade's ideas is just as great! I wish I had more great ideas like you guys, I'm really jealous now hahaha

A video? Hmmm I think that would be more work, how would we send it?

I'm thinking a general letter would be fine, that would reduce the trouble of having too many. And also, it will be a good representation of the community.

But guys, before we talk about the inside structure, we should finalize first what type of letter we are going to send. Physical or electronic? And how are we possibly going to send it. We won't go anywhere if we just know what to put but don't know how to place.

Okay, I've decided to pick the email.

Well, its easier, a lot of us here know graphics, Photoshop, and a lot more. The next step would be the email address and I'm pretty sure they have one.

Email....Physical.

Guys,how about both?Then we can like split the content,video in the email and the writing in the physical one...

I haven't thought of doing both, but its still okay. And I'm kinda interested in Eugene's idea of splitting it.

Sounds interesting, splitting the letter into a physical portion and a electronic variation.... Problem is, how will the members get their signatures onto the letter or submit what they want to write? And what about any incurred expenses and charges since we would send by mail to Japan? Perhaps an electronically produced letter would be a more feasible option but that is my take and it's purely opinionated.

IMO electronic would be better and less pain.

as for the contents maybe 10-20 members per letter?

it would be a pain to read a 1 whole letter w/ a 1-2 sentence for each member ayt?

so we split it and have a certain number of member per letter.
