The SCANDAL song that you play non-stop on your guitar/bass/drum kit

well I'm a bassist, and my favourite Scandal song to jam out to is Tokyo Skyscraper~
im in love with the bass line~ ^O^

For me, it's DAYDREAM. The drum part isn't complicated but the groove can crumble walls down LOL! Especially the second verse when it breaks down to just Rina and Tomo... makes you wanna pound on something...

@graffixron: Don't mean to go off topic, but I also like Daydream's groove. But as you know I'm still a beginner, could I ask from you the drum score for Daydream, if you have it? It's fine if the answer is no, I'm cool either way. (^w^)

I like Playing the bass of Tokyo Skyscraper, Hikare and Haruka.
the bass line is so addicting specially Tokyo Skyscraper XD

Chiy, I would be happy to give it to you if I had it. I am a self-taught drummer so people are amazed when they show me a drum score and have no idea how to read it.
I had this crazy idea... I think it would be cool if this website could "host" member-made videos available only to us... like instructional videos to share how to play SCANDAL's music. I find that the "flame throwing" is a bit much on youtube... too many mean-spirited people on there.
I'll think on your request for awhile... If I can come up with a solution on how I can teach you I'll let you know.

That is a great idea, I feel that it would promote the level of appreciation even further, and I'm sure ppl will better enjoy SCANDAL's music.

And thanks for considering about my request. BTW it is indeed amazing that you self-taught yourself drumming. So you basically learn the song just by listening? That's real cool.

I taught myself to play bass as well, just by carefully listening to records.
I only learned to read music later.
Oh and my favourite to play at the moment is 'Love survive' !

the song not too difficult to learn and it's pretty fun to play . . .

as for drum , lately i've played LOVE SURVIVE repeated . . .

bass? hm... the only one i know the tabs is shoujo s , but i just read it and only played it once

i mean Rina is a really good drummer, and I sincerely think she would be a gem if she'd play with any band but... I don't dig her parts that much.

Good afternoon everyone. One of the songs that has become part of my warm up routine is Girlism. As I have tendonitis in my left hand ( I'm a righty guitarist ) I must take particular care to warm up my hands properly. I usually start out with a chromatic pattern across all 6 strings. Chromatic is nothing more than a series of notes, one note after the next in sequence irrespective of scale. I do this very slowly using alternate picking until my left hand is loose and then I inevitably wind up playing Girlism very slowly with a metronome making sure I pick each note cleanly. It's a very deceptively simple riff and to play it properly is a good exercise to loosen up your picking hand, I then up the tempo via the metronome and fairly soon I'm up and ready to go. After that who knows, whatever song pops into my head I'll have a go at, there are so many tab sites out now that one can find almost any song to learn. I wish it was that easy when I was a young lad but that's another story, Cheers everyone have a Great Day! Keep Playing, practice pays off!!!!!!

Just a note, I don't know if any of you younger guitarists are familiar with a band called Led Zeppelin, a British Band very popular from years back. The riff for Girlism is a bit similar to the classic song called the Immigrant Song, might be worth a listen. Also research where your octaves on the guitar are as Mami uses octave playing extensively to bring a fuller sound to Scandal live, its a pleasing alternate to playing full power chords, Haru plays the power chord function and Mami accents with octave playing to suss out the sound to keep it thick. Shunkan sentimental. The intro solo kinda makes me feel pumped.

on guitar : Shunkan Sentimental... always... i played it 2-4 times...xDD
on bass : Hi Hi Hi and BeauTEEN... never fail to play that during mg playing time..hahahah

every time i pick up my guitar i start playing Scandal Baby automatically. it got to a point that the song is burned into my friends minds even though they dont listen to Scandal.

Thing is I dont play any instrument, so I imagine it, and Im imaginarily good at it too.

any song unless its written for piano is harder that playing on guitar but lately I found out Namida No Regret's tune isn't that hard compared to Shunkan (which I'm still trying to work out...) so currently playing both Shunkan and Namida No Regret
