I saw the other topic about an all girl rock band from the Philippines somewhere here, so I thought of sharing one of my favorite all girl rock band as well.

Nyctinasty

In biological terms, Nyctinasty means the nastic rhythmic movement of plants in response to the onset of darkness.

The current incarnation of the band was formed back in 2006. Playing in the underground circuit for quite a while for around 3 years already, Nyctinasty’s Noodle Perez and Pat Garcia recruited then “Hidden Nikki” drummer Nikki Cuna to play drums for them. Shortly thereafter, they were able to convince their friend Levi to play the bass.

Their influences include Rufio, Coheed and Cambria, Element 101, Mae, Poison The Well, Super Junky Monkey, etc.

Noodle Perez (vocals, guitars)
Pat Garcia (guitars)
Levi Reyes (bass, b-vocals)
Nikki Cuna (drums)

They released their first album, Camping Indoors, last December 2010.

They're not as pretty and cute as the other all girl bands out there (and they're not trying to be, in the first place) but they're a bunch of very talented girls and that's for sure.

how come? haha. Well, just my opinion her English pronunciation is a little bit better than Misaki. Happy

really? haven't heard about that band maybe I'd go check that out.

I particularly like Pat (guitars), she's really good and she's got that silent mysterious smartish look which I like. I just hope the band will last knowing that they're still not that mainstream.
