SCANDAL HEAVEN Fan Letter

Okay..... let's end this now.

This Fan Letter project was first discussed around December 2009 and was started early of January 2010, started by porcupine_tree who was enthusiastic to start this Fan Letter project.

The first part...

Yeah everybody was excited and kept raising their hands that they want to join, write bla bla bla. To be honest, from the start of this I already predicted that nothing will happen, the reason I was so hesitant to start this thing. But after the Fujiko incident, I decided to give it a shot because who knows things might come out nice like what Fujiko said.

But throughout nothing happened and all was just words of hope and plenty of spam, and even porcupine_tree was nowhere to be found.

The second part...

There one unexpected day mrmonkey showed up and offered help on this project. From his words I kinda felt for the first time that there's a light on this project. So there we started all over and I became more serious on the project.

But again, nothing happened. Peeps kept saying they will participate and write the letter, kept asking if anyone started their letter yet bla bla bla. In the end not a single letter was found, and even mrmonkey was nowhere to be found.

I'm not blaming peeps here, even I is included in that in which I said that I'll post first but never happened.

I'm stopping this now so that no more new member posts here and be included in an almost dead project. We should accept now that our first Fan Letter project is a failure.

I'm not mad, I have no reason to be. I'll just treat this one as a lesson learned.

Thank you to everyone who has showed support and hope on this project.

If someone wants to start this project again, kindly pm me and we'll talk about it. Just make sure of one thing, that you will never leave it and stay with it until the end.

Just be yourself. Hahahaha.

We're still going to finalize on how we will send it to mrmonkey. Proposals include scaning or taking pictures of the letter then emailing him, also by post mailing the letter to him. Or maybe there's more ways.

mrmonkey's already offline, let's wait for what he has to say.

I am in this. Its just that I'm not very good at this kind of thing.

I'll try my best to give some ideas but for now, I got none.

in daiforum we had sent fanletters and bday wishes to DAI before... they made a collage of pics of members and with bday messages as well. They sent to their email (avex), FB page (dunno whether official or not), and myspace (this one is official).

i do like the idea of sending them physical letters (via whatever means) showing our love to SCANDAL via our own unique handwritings is surely will be appreciated by them

Nah, to join doesn't mean you have to give tons of ideas. The thought to show love by means of sending the letter is enough.

The goal is just to finalize those who are really willing to send the letters. So just be yourself in this project. =D

i got a question though... umm, do we have to decorate the letter we'll give to mrmonkey or just give him the words for him to translate?

The choice is yours. If you want to just send me text then I'll add it, but the more thought and creativity you can put into it the better, I think.

Ok, here's some thoughts: Dog spit is cleaner than human's, why does the kettle always boil as soon as I get bored waiting and sit down, and...

the ultimate best way to send me letters is to post the actual handmade handwritten thing, but I know there is cost involved in this. Scans are cheap and easy for those who can. I would be perfectly happy if we have a mix of scans and originals. If you are going to do fancy decorations and pictures I would recommend posting it

The made a glassy magazine? well, they obviously have more funding than us. Personally anything "corporate" just seems impersonal to me. Give me a handwritten letter on a doodled piece of paper any day.
