maximum the hormone

Maximum the hormone was born in 1998 in Hachiojo (Tokyo).
At that time, the band was composed with Nawo Kawakita and Daisuke Tsuda,
the two fundators, then Sugi the guitarist came in and at last Key the bassist.
They did little shows around Tokyo until they had been found out
by Sky Records Label and they contracted.
Their first album " A.S.A Crew" came in 1999. All songs are written in English by Daisuke.
Unfortunately, Sugi and Key left the same year, and Nawo and Daisuke
had forced to look for others guitarist and bassist. They were lucky to find nawo's brother,
Ryo Kawakita, whose guitar knowledge was perfect. He was accepted by Daisuke Tsuda.
It was harder to find a bassist but Ue-chan appeared and he's pretty good.
With this Line-up, they have done a single titled "Bullpen Catcher's dream" composed with three songs.Their tiny album "Otori (Hou)" appeared. It was with one of these songs that they became relatively famous. This song "ROLLING1000TOON" was chosen in 2003 as "AirMaster" ending.
The single "Niku Cup" appeared in 2002 and it was composed with three songs.
Then in 2003, it was the single "Enzui Tsuki Waru" and their third album "Mimi Kairu" turn.
In 2004,after their forth album appeared, MTH signed with another label "Major Vap" leaving their first one. The same year, with this new label, they did their two singles "Bankuruwase - Minoreba Rock"
and "Houchou Hasami Cutter Knife Do - Rei Rei Rei Rei Rei Rei Rei Rei Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma"
The fifth album "Rokkinpo Goroshi" came in 2005 which was followed with a Japan Tour.
The same year, «Zawa.. ..Zawa.. ..Z.. Zawa .. .. .. ..Zawa» single appeared
but the succès came in 2006 with «Koi No Mega Raba» single
and Koi No Mega Lover song that made them 9th at the Oricon Chart.
Nevertheless, the real MTH succès was with "Death Note" for which MTH gave 2 tracks :
"What's up people" and Zetsubou billy" from their sixth album "Buiikikaesu (2007).
That's how MTH got famous and make tours and festivals in Japan.
We can also see a reference to Death Note in Zetsubou billy video clip
where actors are all killed by Kira's Death Note. At the end of this year,
MTH receive an award from Space Shower for the most conceptual pv with "Zetsubou Billy".In March 2008, A dvd called "Deco Vs Deco" appeared and Maximum The Hormone
came to United States/Canada for a little tour with the band "Dropkick Murphys".
MTH came back to Japan and plays for a lot of shows. The band is invited to all big Japan fest
and 20000 to 25000 want to see them each show. A lottery is organised to choose
who will can buy tickets. In July 2008 is released the new maxi single "Tsume Tsume Tsume / [F]"
and MTH announce a "Tsume Tsume Tour" with 24 shows in Japan.
The "Tsume Tsume Tsume tour" begin and Maximum The Hormone announce a European Tour for November 2008
The Euro Tour is organised and in 17 days, Maximum The Hormone played 6 shows in England with 2 in London, a show in Köln (Germany) , a show in Paris (France) and a final show in Barcelona (Spain). Fans are there and the band come back to Japan with goods remembrances.
In December 08 , Daisuke Tsuda announce that he gets a cyst on his vocal chords and that the band will stop few month until his operation and reeducation.
A great concern until March 2009 when Maximum The Hormone come back in apotheosis shows for further of the"Tsume Tsume Tsume" Tour in Japan. All shows are "Sold Out" and Daisuke come back well in his shows
Maximum The Hormone win in February 2009, an award for the "Space Shower Award" and a Mtv Award for the best rock Video (Tsume Tsume Tsume).
In August 2009, Ryo Kawakita caught the pandemic flu but the band is strong and already prepared their new tour in Australia for 2010.
Moreover, this band has a particularity that others don't have :
all the members sing in the same time they play their instruments.
So MTH can't be classified in a musical type, because of the mix of punk, metal, sweetness and melody.
Each member gives a bit of his style, Daisuke with his metal voice, Ryo and his pretty rock one,
Ue-chan who has a yelling voice and the sweety nawo's one.
This voice movement is well adaptated and participate of the band's charm.

unfortunately. the band cancelled all of their shows this 2010 due to nao's pregnancy
