Sorry if this has been asked already but I just wanted to know, do the stripes the Tomomi put on her basses extend to the back? And also does anybody know exact measurements for them? I want to mimic the design on my guitar with electrical tape.

Ah! A good question. As a matter of fact, her racing stripes do not extend all the way to the back. I'll try to get a pic with such an angle.

Edit: If you go to this post I made a few years ago, you can see her bass from all sorts of angles

I was asked this but in a private message on S-H. Based on my BLUETUS, the thickness of each racing stripe is as follows:

8.5 mm / 15 mm / 8.5 mm

There is a 2 mm gap between the three stripes.

And as Lexian says, it doesn't go to the back. Put up a photo on 'The Instruments thread' once it's done!

Mexican. The racing stripes were customised later as TIMO had played the P-bass in its original form prior to them being added.

its not Fender who released Tomomi Model Jazz Bass, Its Squier (Squier Japan). You can buy the Tomomi Model Squier Jazz Bass "Bluetuss" only in Japan (I think)

As per the photos uploaded on HOOK Inc's [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] page, TIMO's pedals haven't changed for the HELLO WORLD tour.

However, there is a change with regards her backline during the Japan leg of the tour. She still uses her Ashdown ABM 500 EVOIII head and when I saw them live in Japan back in January, it was housed in a rack, which is neither here nor there.

What I am interested is the addition of an Ampeg [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] rack mounted bass head just above the Ashdown.

And this was featured again in the Sep 2015 issue of GiGS:

However, the short caption beneath the GiGS photo made no mention of the SVT-3PRO. This photo below from HOOKS Inc. shows that she may actually use it as part of her back line during the performance as one of the bottom patches (rightmost) on her PEC-2 routing system is labelled 'Ampeg':

I just wonder which song has her playing on the SVT! ^^

I thought it was already mentioned in the topmost post on page 1 but it ain't there.

Just to recap:

kudo_maharizu wrote:

It's a UK-made 1050W Ashdown NEO 810 8 x 10" cab which is now replaced by the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] cabs.

From what I can gather from older sites via Google:

Central to the performance of the 1050-Watt, 8 x 10, NEO 810 cabinet is the use of new, custom developed Neodymium speakers which incorporate a number of advanced features including a cast aluminium chassis with thin brackets to avoid sound wave reflections, a magnet circuit with heat sink rims to ensure rapid heat dissipation and decompression holes in the cone. The result is a ultra-lightweight bass driver that just keep getting louder as the level is increased, delivering a powerful, consistent bass tone at all volume levels and with no power loss over long performances.

The Ashdown NEO 810H Main Features Include:
• Power Output (RMS): 1050W
• Speaker Configuration: 8 x 10
• Impedance: 4 Ohms
• H x W x D (mm): 1280 x 610 x 420
• Weight (kg) 60

(A little bit of OOT)
Well, if you prefer the Fender Deluxe Active P Bass and you live in the Philippines, better call the Yupangco head office. They accept advance orders too. Just be specific with the model and color.

Sadly, Fender sales reps here in the Philippines have no idea about Timo and how good she is as a bassist.

TIMO's additional rented gear as described in the main SCANDAL article in the April 2016 issue of GiGS.

She used a 1966 Fender Precision (love the look on that baby) on Stamp!, and despite what I think the mag's description was saying, a '75 Fender Jazz on SUKI-SUKI.

A 90's Ampeg SVT Classic head was used for amplification.

I was expecting for her to buy either a Marshall Super Bass or a Hiwatt though.

As she usually would introduce her her gear in tweets or printed media (eg GiGs etc), the Hofner's likely rented as a prop to provide a vintage feel to their style - hence, fitting in with HARU's Guild and MAMI's Gretsch in the PV.

She could have borrowed my 1960 Hofner Violin bass, I bought it because they were really cheap but then Paul McCartney made it famous of course, he still has two, a 1961 model and an updated 1962 model given to him by Hofner.
But you can pick them up quite cheap on ebay.
