Theme：RINA

Today I performed as a guest at 『TOSHI Matsuri! BUZZ☆DRUM～30th Anniversary & Birthday～Produced by GLAY』. Thank you very much!

I was surprised to see SCANDAL towels, I was relieved that the members came, and I was moved by the warmth of everyone who saw me for the first time today.

As for TOSHI-san, I got to know TOSHI-san through the drum clinics we hold. After that, we went to each others' live shows, consulted him for drum advice, and before I knew it I had already been in his care for 3 years.

This time, GLAY-san and I performed 「Yuuwaku」 and 「BURST」. And, for the encore, I performed in a special arrangement of QUEEN's 「WE WILL ROCK YOU」. A parade of classics

TOSHI-san and I went to the studio twice to prepare for the live.
The day I left for Hawaii and right after coming back.
At both he watched me play for half of it, and the other half we talked without playing drums

"Drummer" doesn't have a negative meaning; it's a solitary instrument.
That's why there are parts where only fellow drummers can understand and empathize with each other. My heart gets lighter when I talk with TOSHI-san, and I fall even more in love with the drums.

When we did our last rehearsals, I met GLAY for the first time.
They were truly kind both that day and today, and they created a place for everyone
It's not like they ,
But GLAY-san created a great atmosphere in which everyone could be a part of. That's not something easily done that not everyone can do.

At any rate, I've felt that they've been a wonderful band from the start. Writing this again feels weird, but it was so wonderful that it makes me want to write about it.
I want SCANDAL to continue on for a long time too.
It'd be awesome if there could be a 30th anniversary for girl bands

Being able to celebrate TOSHI-san's 30th anniversary & 50th birthday, and TERU-san's birthday today together with them makes me very happy.
From the bottom of my heart, congratulations!

Though I feel like this could also be applied to most other instruments, I know exactly where Rina's coming from in this instance, and I'm once again reminded of one of the major reasons why Rina is my absolute favorite member

In British bands drummers tend to be thought of as people who just like to bang things !
But I would never put Rina into that group...I always love her blogs.

@tonymiller There was a time that bassists were meant to be seen but not heard.
Some people in Metal music still think that way. Fortunately, Tomomi is not in that era.
