There was a recent problem with the shout box not being available because you guys needed to renew something. I'm guessing it was a paid service?

I want to suggest using an IRC channel and client. Afaik, you can just create a room in irchighway.net, create admin and mods, disable some stuff etc. Then for the client, you can just put an IRC html plugin. All free of charge.

The signup for the shoutbox will be different because everyone will get to decide their usernames and passwords will admins/mods can kick/ban the users from the room as well as control the room password.

no more stickers/emojis though. not sure if there are any clients that support formatting for emojis.

I think someone tried creating an IRC channel for SH 5 years ago, but nothing ever came of it.

The shoutbox was never offline during the server outage. All you needed to do was search for scandal heaven shoutbox in google, click the first link and bookmark it to reach it easier.

That figures. I just renewed the SB not so long ago

I created an SH IRC channel on Rizon years back with a bot and everything with mc. It only had like 3 people that came on back then, so the idea died off pretty quickly.
