heyyy hello there !

i'm a bit shy, i think it might be the first time i sign in this kind of forum and post something just to say hi haha x) so, where should i start... well, i'm a 19yo music lover from south west of France. playing guitar and singing are my hobbies ! i'd like to make it my job, that would be a dream coming true ~. i have a YouTube channel named Ziky Music... 6 years experienced self-taught guitarist here, so please don't be too tough if you visit it xD

i listened to all of the bad music that could be broadcasted on TV, until mid-2012 when i discovered Muse, my favorite band. this is how i started listening to Rock. later, in like 2015, i started enjoying Metal a lot, and more recently i started being more eclectic, and i still try to be so, more and more.
then one day, nearly one year ago, i started listening to the GazettE, and finally starting opening (at least a bit lol) to Japanese music. i only know a few Japanese bands tho, such as Band-Maid for instance. so this was the musical way i took until i discovered Scandal !

i'm really new in the fandom ! i started listening to them on March 27th to be precise (even more recent than i thought oml), with Masterpiece. i had heard of them through YouTube recommendations, and i'm pretty glad i clicked ! i was a bit confused at first, Haruna has a particular voice imo. also the pop influences got me surprised, for the good reason that i didn't expect me to be so positively hooked. you know, it's that feeling of "hang on ! this is actually pretty good, woah !", but maybe i should stop focusing on musical genres and keep on enjoying right ? x)
i quickly started enjoying after listening to KFTD, it clicked in my head thanks to Neon Town Escape, it was definitely an instant crush.
and now my affection for the band (and Mami-chan  ) grows daily :3

i truly like there ability to switch from a style to another with usually strong rock influences. i'd like to quote as well the fact that everyone is able to sing in the band, which is a big plus since everyone can create proper harmonies with each other and show pieces of their soul through "solo" songs sometimes, this is so cool ! it does add something interesting in the creative abilities of the band according to me ! also i think they have an important charisma, which is of course revealed with their way of playing live, so relaxed and having a blast, smiling all the time... the positive waves they aim to share are very infectious ~

my favorite album must be... Honey, i think. and Neon Town Escape might be my favorite song since it was my very first case of love at first listening. favorite member ? Mami for sure ! i just love her attitude and her styles ! i think i should take more time to know the band to be "sure" of it all tho

firstly, i had signed in here to share a tab made by ear of Mami's part in Masterpiece to someone, but now i guess i will as well browse the whole website to discover more about them and develop my affection for them ! i'm glad that i signed in ; seems like this forum is named accurately haha

It is fine to like other Bands as well, I am also a huge Japanese idol fan as everyone here knows.

I am a Bass player myself, I guess I thought it would be easier as it only has four strings and I also have a Fender Jazz bass like Tomomi started with, although she plays better than me now and it much nicer to look at.

Welcome to the forum, very interesting story. It's always interesting to see new fans and their view on the SCANDAL members and music. I know them since July 2017 and my favorite member is Mami as well. My favorite album is Hello World and my fav song is Scandal Baby.

for now i downloaded the CDs, but definitely planning to buy all the CDs when i'll have enough money ! download is only a temporary, i definitely want to buy the CDs, a band like Scandal deserves support ! also i watched a few MVs for now, looking forward to watch them all, it's always cool to see them evolve through the years ! i think i'll get to watch a few interviews as well, i already watched one or two made during the Honey era

I enjoyed reading your introduction.  It's amazing you just started listening to Scandal and found this forum already.  There are so many great articles, videos, TV shows and photos to discover and enjoy here.  Get lost in the rabbit hole, we all did eventually.

oh you were blocked ? strange, since i had sent you a pm... i'm sorry if i messed up something with the private messages, it might be my fault :/ or maybe we're both a bit clumsy through the discovery of Scandal Heaven xD anyway, thank you very much for the links. i heard of Girlfriend but didn't start listening to them yet. i feel like i should listen to more albums of other bands i discovered first (Silent Siren, Gacharic Spin) to be able to discover new ones (such as Girlfriend) properly... or maybe i'll just go chaotic and will listen to Girlfriend while i didn't listen to all Gacharic Spin's and Silent Siren's albums yet xD thankfully i'm already subscribed to Scandal's intagram and youtube, to each member's account as well ! on twitter too. also i saw scandal.jmusic.mania a few times, good yt channel ! i wish there were english subs tho haha

ahhh thank you so much for taking the time to visit my channel :333. definitely left handed indeed, kinda more difficult to find guitars, but it's okay haha... you're right, i should keep doing videos... i had lost motivation tbh, won't say a lot about that, but ::: depression. i finally found motivation again !! i shot a few covers, including of A.M.D.K.J. and Masterpiece (Mami's part) ! i'll work on the editing and they'll be ready for upload

today i learned Shōjo S, Everybody Say Yeah !, Platform Syndrome (what a tricky song), and Electric Girl (quite dynamic this one !). i might as well shoot some covers for these bangers when i'll be able to handle them better

Hey Ziky! That's wonderful! Mistakes happen 'coz we're human. Just keep playing! I have a psychosocial disability a well and I understand how depression cripples our productivity.
