@goldenarms - yeah, I think I've heard all of their subunits, including the temporary subunits such as Queen and Elizabeth, Team Dragon, etc.

@topicMy top 3 favorite subunits would have to be Not Yet, no3b, and Watarirouka Hashiritai (7).

I just had an e-mail from CDJapan inviting me to preorder 'AKB at the Tokyo Dome.
The first press limited edition is a 7 DVD boxed set with a photobook, 12 trading cards and
5 signed photo's.
It costs 18000 yen plus shipping, that is £142 in English money !!!

I got the same email. I think it's awesome that it comes with all that stuff, but its $231.78 in the US. So I can't afford it. haha.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is pretty much one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life:

I don't know why, but I laughed so hard when the girl gave Takamina the corndog. lol

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just finished season 3 of Majisuka Gakuen and I'm gonna have to say that it was better than I thought it would be. The last few episodes were pretty good.

I like the choreography in the new single Uza, and the PV is pretty interesting.

I'm really looking forward to the song "Kitagawa Kenji" by NMB48.

@tony - I haven't known AKB for very long, but is "Uza" the first song with 2 centers (Yuko and Jurina) or have there been other songs with a double center?

I shall check back but you could be right about the double centre, and of course Milky from NMB48 is also in "UZA".

@tonymiller - thanks for the info man

@topic - Is the PV of "UZA" is available in Youtube?
or is there a link where can I watch it? thanks in advance

This is kinda off topic... I think I'm starting to like Jurina... ehehehehehehe!
She got my attention when I was watching the Ponytail no Shushu PV.

Guys, I have a question. What's your favorite AKB48 single of all time?
For me it's Heavy Rotation. I think it's their most energetic and likable song. It's a "Classic!".

The PV has already been 'pulled', but here they are performing it on stage !
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Jurina Matsui is an amazing member, she is officially a member of SKE48 and a tempory member of
AKB48, but has appeared in all AKB's PV's since "Ogoe Diamond" in 2008.
And she is still only 15 now !

My favourite AKB single ?
Too hard with 28 to chose from !

@goldenarms - I've been registered on this website, and this is where I watch most of the music videos: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
it basically has most of the music videos from singles to couplings. I would recommend you sign up for this website if you want to be updated on music videos. Subscribe to Mochichan. Unfortunately, you can't watch videos on the website, unless you are registered. (Uza is there, and so are Team Surprise's PVs).

hmm...I can't decide which single I like best. It would probably have to be between Everday Kachuusha, Heavy Rotation, Ponytail to Shushu, RIVER, 10nen Zakura, Iiwake Maybe, or Manatsu no Sounds good. I probably named about 1/4 of the singles right there haha.

@tony - yeah, I really liked NMB's last single. I'm surprised Jurina still that young. She looks much more mature. If I didn't know she was 15, I would have probably thought she was at least 17.

@topic - I've been watching a bunch of nmb48 videos lately. I really like their Kansai-ben (kansai dialect) Now I'm starting to memorize names.

@goldenarms - No, Jurina and Rena are not related.

@topic
My favorite SKE songs are Aishiteraburu and Okey Dokey. Their new single "Kiss datte Hidarikiki" is a pretty good song too.

I still don't know a whole lot about NMB, but I like "Mousou Girlfriend", "Nagiichi", and "Oh My God!"

I've noticed Paruru has been in the media a lot lately. Perhaps she's the new ace?

Happy Birthday to Yuko!
also, If I'm not mistaken, its Yuuki Yamaguchi's birthday too (NMB48).

I just watched the full PV for NMB48's new single "Kitagawa Kenji" and all I have to say the song is awesome and the PV is pretty funny. It's definitely up there as one of my favorite songs from the 48 Groups. I have watched the live video of this song almost every day up until now. I'm gonna have to say this song is as addicting as "Heavy Rotation" was for me when I first heard it.

^ That was one of the 1st AKB videos I had ever seen. I watched that video when I didn't even know who AKB48 was, but it was on YouTube when I searched "Japanese pranks" so I watched it, as well as the ones they did on Takamina and the other girls. And then BAM! 1 year later, I'm listening to them.

It's kinda weird going back and watching videos that I watched when I didn't even know their names.

It was March 2006 when a Japanese friend sent me their debut single "Sakura no Hanabiratachi",
it was just Team A then so I can blame her for my addiction !
But they were not even known in Japan then and it was so hard finding out anything about them
even with the help of people in Japan.
Then I saw the "Aitakatta" PV and it was love at first sight.
I know I go on about them just a little...hehe, but I want other people to have the pleasure I have had
being an AKB fan.

I am jealous of people like Yoshi who have all that fun still to come.

But now of course there are all the other 48's !
I think they all have something to love, SKE48 and SDN48 ( graduated 2012 ) were next.
As Yoshi said NMB48 are getting better all the time, I love their new single too and it is hard
to dislike HKT48 because they try so hard !

Even Yasushi Akimoto who is a bit of a dinosaur ( but still a clever man ) is having to move with
the times.
NMB48 was bleeding members so they threw the rule book out the window and several of the
girls have boyfriends now and look what it has done for their music !
But Namba ( Osaka ) is not Tokyo and I think it will be a long time until AKB have that kind of
freedom.

@tony - woah, I didn't even know that they threw out that rule for NMB48!
Also I envy you for knowing about AKB48 since the beginning. I wish I had started listening to AKB when I saw the pranks and the commercial with Aimi Eguchi (fictional CGI idol) in it. Unfortunately, I didn't know who AKB was and I wasn't interested in Jpop at that point.

I'm surprised I didn't even hear about AKB48 while I was in Japan in 2008.
________________________________________________________________________

Here it is, a preview for "Sugar Rush" by AKB48. This song will be used in the Disney film "Wreck-it Ralph" ("Sugar Rush" in Japan) as the ending song. It's about time that AKB gets heard to a bigger western audience. Not only is AKB's single in it, but the movie has all kinds of video game characters, such as Bowser, Dr. Eggman, Dig Dug, etc. The movie will be out in early November and Spring 2013 for Japan.

I agree, it will bring AKB to the attention of many more people although they are already pretty
popular in the USA and France.
But sadly they are almost unknown in the UK and I have been working hard for them since 2005 !
The movie should help a lot !

wow, I finally found 1 person in my city that likes AKB48 and the sister groups! I still haven't found anyone that likes SCANDAL in my city yet though Sad

Thoughts on UZA and couplings:
-"UZA" - I'm still getting used to it. I like it more and more every time I listen to it. It may take a while before I fully enjoy it like when I listened to "Beginner" for the first time.
-"Tsugi no Season" - I like it. There are parts in the song that remind me of The Blue Heart's song "Owaranai Uta" and then there's hints of "Heavy Rotation" and "Give me Five".
-"Scrap and Build" - I really like the rock sound in this song. I don't know why, but this song makes me feel really nostalgic. I think this is my favorite song out of the UZA couplings.
-"Seigi no Mikata Janai Hero" - great song. I really like the intro and the chorus.
-"Kodoku na Hoshizora" - nice and slow song, almost like enka or jazz music. It kinda reminds me of the chorus in The Gorillaz's "Feel Good inc." at some parts.

right now, I'm really enjoying AKB's Team Surprise's song "Oteage Lullaby", which is a solo song for Takamina. She should do more songs in this style. It fits her perfectly. Plus the PV for the song is pretty cool with all the pyrotechnics and stuff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I just bought NMB48's single "Kitagawa Kenji" version A, so I have that to look forward to in the next week.

Sorry if this isn't the right thread to post this in, but i couldn't find an SKE48 thread.

For anyone who hasn't heard yet, Kumi Yagami announced her graduation yesterday. The official announcement will be tomorrow at SKE48's handshake event.

Her reason is apparently because;

SKE48 has gained 5th generation members and I now have many
juniors under me. As a 1st generation member, I felt that I had to lead
the other members. I also wanted my juniors to have many chances and
display their talents.

She continued, “Also, as I thought about my own path, I strongly
felt that I should start over again. I was thinking about graduating
from the 48 group since about a year ago. It’s a decision that requires
courage, but I was able to announce it today.

You can find the Tokyohive story here

yeah, I posted the whole story above you, but thanks! Happy

@topic:
I'm a Kuumin oshi, so I was super shocked to see the news on Google+. Now I think I know how the Acchan oshimen felt when she announced her graduation. I couldn't stop thinking about it the whole day today. I will support her in whatever she decides to do after her graduation...but I hope she stays in the entertainment industry.
now please excuse me, I feel like I need to listen to some upbeat SKE48 songs to cheer me up.
