Hi, I wanted to bring up a really controversal genre that has been been debating around the anime/manga forums for quite some time. So I was wondering what you're take is on this? Do you like this genre or not (in that case could mentioned some examples of series you enjoy in this genre?) If you don't could you explain why?

For my own record I can tell you that I don't see this genre to be that awful like people describe it to be.. There are some series in this genre which I find to been rather entertaining. Sure, I can agree that this series tend to sexist against girls, they have dull characters, a really wishy-washy main male character and trivial/boring plot. But when all is said and done I think every genre regardless of what kind of genre it is that they repeat the same ideas and formulas just so it will sale. Besides if you take a look at other genre like shounen etc. you will only find a few that stands out.. Besides I think it's bad to jump to conclusion and make a bad accusation of this just because of what others say. I think you should get your own opinion about this genre. I would also like to inform regarding the sexist aspect of this genre that I don't find it that bad that some people described it... Because unfournately *oooops bad word detected* will always sales regardless what kind of fiction it is.

The harem genre isn't always apalling as others say... There are many animes witht his genre that are quite humoring and fun to watch as normal anime...Although they sometimes get dull and boring, and the graphic scenes might be overrated...We shouldn't discriminate the genre because of some series that show bad examples...There are actually a lot of anime series that aren't as explicit and stereotypical as the rest(although I forgot the title of those animes since I haven't watched them for almost 7 years)

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Love-Hina pioneered the harem genre, right.
I think that, (despite plot differences) almost any other anime of the same genre are pretty much clones of Love-Hina. EIther accidental peeking or the personalities of the girls themselves. The shy girl, the energetic girl, the airhead, the tsundere (which usually winds up being the girl the MC falls for), etc.
