Do you guys know Hatsune Miku? She's the world's first virtual diva.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Her Music is crowdsourced. Using a program called vocaloid, anyone can compose songs with her as a singer. Even though Miku doesn't really exists, she has given concerts in Japan and the USA and is becoming more and more famous worldwide.

She's amazing, isn't she?

yeahp, I know miku.. and of course all the other vocaloids haha!
a lot of vocaloid composed songs are really great.. speak about the arrangement, the lyrics, and everything..
but sometimes miku's voice doesn't appeal that much to me though x: i love the covers better.. clear, halyosy, valshe, tourai and other nico nico douga singers!
:3

The Miku "Hologram" itself is a projection of a "3D" image on a transparent screen.
The accompanying music is performed by a live band, which requires a lot of skill as by playing with prerecorded vocals, they CANNOT lose a single beat
(Which is a piece of cake for Japanese performers as they showed last year)

The next concert is tomorrow! It's being live streamed on Nico Nico, but to purchase tickets you need a Japanese Credit Card >.<
Apparently, last time the stream was relayed through sites like Ustream, Justin TV, (some of which were shut down) so we'll see if that happens again!
.clap.
