Star Driver takes place on the fictional Southern Cross Isle. One night, a boy named Takuto washes up on shore swimming from the mainland. He later enrolls in Southern Cross High School as a freshmen and makes new friends. However, beneath the school is a group of mysterious giants called Cybodies, which can be controlled by humans in an alternate dimension known as Zero Time. Takuto, The "Galactic Pretty Boy" (銀河美少年 Ginga Bishounen?), finds himself dragged into opposition with the "Glittering Crux Brigade" (綺羅星十字団 Kiraboshi Juujidan?, lit. Glittering Star Cruciform Group), a mysterious group that intends to take possession of the island's Cybodies for their own purposes as well as break the seals of the island's four Shrine Maidens, whose powers prevent the Cybodies from functioning outside of Zero Time.

I originally did not plan to watch this at all.

When news broke out that Pride was going to be the ED song for this, I just watched it just for that. And I have to say, this anime is ridiculously ridiculous. There are way too many inconsistencies and epic facepalms.

Why am I still watching this then? I don't have the slightest clue.

I honestly watched it because Pride was said to be the ed, and because it's been so long since I watched an anime. Now I'm glad I'm watching it, surviving past the first 13 eps with a horrible op~! I really like this anime ^^ Except maybe some of the character designs...

I watched it and is good. The plot and design of the anime is amazing. Sometimes, it is funny too.

To quote Plutonium: Ridiculously ridiculous! Haha. I don't know why I keep on watching it either, even though I already have a copy of Pride. Maybe because I don't want my watching-the-episodes-before-Pride-came-out go to waste. Hehe. And I'm always wondering why Wako is always dragged to the Zero time, but the East Maiden (or West? The pink-haired girl) was not dragged before the time they broke her seal??? Anyway, the story so far is pretty interesting, now that we had a glimpse to the past of Takuto's father.

My reason that made me watch this anime is the song that Scandal sang. (Pride)

Interesting series! But why is there a 'female' GINGA BISHOUNEN?? So many mysteries needed to be known. I like the first OP. GRAVITY 0 by Aqua Timez.

But I like Pride better. .uhuh.

I never thought I'd actually watch it....... I only started to watch because of pride .sweat.

I'm... addicted to it. hahahaha. it's so ridiculously over the top

it's fabulous! seriously, how many protagonists declare themselves as Galactic Pretty Boys? and...even though at first i didnt know that 2nd ending song was by SCANDAL, i liked it already...then i liked it more when i learned it was by them..XD

one thing i hate about the anime though is that the Kiraboshi is like team rocket...fail ALMOST every week..

I liked Stardriver for the epic Driver battles (<3 Tauburn ^_^) and seeing the Glittering Crux talking with each other. WTH is with Sugata?!?! Is he like the new Darth Vader that joined the Dark Side? :/ I thought most of the girls like the pink hair one and that blonde hair mistress who served as the CEO of Adult Bank would try to flirt with Takuto.

Pride was played for the last time, while the OP wasn't.

Just watched the ending episode of Stardriver and left feeling mind blown. The ending was a bit sad since we didn't get to see who Wako chose at the end.

Wako picked both of them..she said it in her monologue..

but..i loved the ending..so many rainbows!! XD also...playing Pride at the end makes it even better..i thought that normally they'll play the first OP or any OP...

Yeah.. but who is Wako going to be engaged to/boyfriend/get married to..? I think the ending didn't really answer that question... Sure we know Wako likes both of them but eventually she has to chose one by the end of the day (you can't get engaged to 2 people at the same time).. so that answer shall remain a mystery.

i think Mizuno suits takuto better hahah...
