If you're talking about our indie songs,
Space Ranger/Koi Moyou
I think would be good☺︎

All of them consist of just the band sound, and the more you practice the more I think you'll be able to complete the performance with it being close to the original songs. Have fun!

Q. Are goods definitely sold at the live venues?

They are☺︎
For one-man lives, we prepare new goods every time and match them to that live's or tour's concept☺︎
The ones for our 10days lives in September are nice too

Q. Have you not done a drum solo since Budokan?

I did it for the first time in a while during RINA's drum seminar held at the end of last month.
Freedom is the hardest thing, but your individuality will come out and it'll be fun; your mind will be trained.
At the drum seminar I played it with a theme of 【summer vacation】☺︎

Q. Who became the trigger for assembling the band?

We're not a band that declares "That's definitely it!". We're grateful to the teachers at our dance school who recommend instruments to us. Bands are great☺︎

Q. Do you make songs starting from the lyrics? The melody?

When I write alone, I usually write starting from the lyrics☺︎

Our workmanship that we can likely perform with at the 10days lives in September! Tonight is a long night
We announced "We'll be playing lives with the title 【Shinkyoku Yara Kara Kiite Yo!】," when we're still in a state of production,, It's hard! haha
But, we've liked doing it like this for a long time. We'll work hard!

I still can't figure out the type of her new cymbals. Why isn't there anyone who's asking RINA about that? Too bad my Japanese sucks. LOL
Would've been cool if we could listen to her drum solo. I'm very curious about what kind of groove she could come up with

They have strict rules to prevent things like that from happening. They set a limit so that each member can only buy 1 or 2 of each SM item. If you try to buy over your limit your membership will be forfeited.

I hope she does another drum solo in one of their next big concert that will be on TV or DVD next year, would be nice to see!

Not surprised about the Shoujo S/DOLL/Shunkan answer ^^

Really excited and impatient to hear these new songs!

But still a bit troubled/confused about this "10 days" tour. They will play new songs (and some classics obviously in the set list, they won't play 15 new songs ^^) but these songs will probably be on the next album, it clearly seems they are not just creating 2-3 new songs but a lot more for this special tour so it's not like we are talking about future b-sides only. So... when the next album comes out they will do a tour again with these songs to promote the album as always right?

Isn't that a bit strange to do compared to what they used to do in the past years? Unless there is a few months gap between this tour and the next album tour? Would that mean they won't release a new album this year? Or are they releasing a surprising new mini-album after this tour with the new songs?

Well I'm probably surprised/confused for nothing xD Let's see what the next months will be and what SCA-chan will come up with.

Awanai as a SCANDAL song recommended for beginners? That song ain't nothing like DOLL (which only has a handful of chords, and doesn't involve stretching!). Somewhat not convinced by that, RINA. Hehe.

On a lighter note, to see HARU playing a Les Paul plugged into a MESA Dual (?Triple) Recto head is just too much... good on ya, girl!!! Love it when they have new gear...

Awanai isn't pretty hard since it's almost just a loop of the chords (for HARU; rhythm) and mostly palm mutes, and as for the Bass, it didn't sound hard either. But that's just what I think of the song when I play it. And like what Rina said, it gets fun~ at first I also had a hard time of doing the octaves (MAMI's intro) but practice does help.

Speaking of playing their songs I've broken 2 strings(e and B two weeks later) just practicing the intro(MAMI) of SCANDAL BABY. I dunno if that's normal.. D:

hmm.. RINA says "this will be a long night". the Facebook page posted "they where recording new songs" around 2am Japan time. I'm guessing they where up until that time.

just connecting the dots. xD

gotta love that dedication and hardwork they put in their music. <3

I wish the other members will do Q&A too.. :<

The intro to Harukaze is definitely one to learn for beginners. An easy one that will keep your motivation up when you get the hang of it.

Awanai was a killer to my fingers, especially those octaves. There were a few odd chords here and there with those damn stretches too that weren't the best for a total beginner (which I was LOL), but I agree that it's not too challenging in the grand scheme of things. Yup, but Awanai did turn into a very fun song to play after lots of practice and dedication~ But it's definitely a huuuugeeee step away from Doll...

Definitely! First we see her play with a PRS for Your Song and now a LP! Yay! I just hope that she'll debut some of the instruments soon at a live if they are in fact hers and not the studio's.

I really can't wait to see what the band has come up with since they did say that they themselves were writing and composing their own songs for this tour. And although not featured in this blog specifically, lately I've seen Mami with an acoustic guitar way too many times for them to not be recording an acoustic or mostly acoustic track. *fingers crossed*
