Today we recorded our regular radio show 「SCANOMICS」, had a tour goods meeting, and recorded; it was a very voluminous day!
We had a perfect indoor schedule for this heavy rain...

That's right; a typhoon is getting close and the weather in Tokyo is pretty stormy, but are your areas okay?

Yes Typhoon Phanfone battered Tokyo and then headed out to sea !
They get around 11 typhoons a year in Japan but that was a bad one, a US sailor died in Okinawa.

I swear to God if anyone ever doubts this band's salary, I will bring up every fashion brand the girls have previously worn and then I'm going to laugh so much if someone still says that they're underpaid or something of that sort. Seeing all these brands just makes my already empty wallet cry even more, haha. Here's a fun tidbit... I'm going to make an educated guess that Haruna's outfit here costs more than $1000. Urgh and why do I now have an urge to shop more than I originally did LOL. 

But in all seriousness, I do wonder if the girls have some sort of promotion deal with these fashion brands; I mean, I see Haruna and Mami especially, wearing COMME des GARÇONS quite frequently. And once Rina did a blogpost on Nike. I doubt you can go around promoting what you wear like this in front of basically, hundreds of thousands of people, without getting something out of it tbh.

I don't see why not syakmp. Maybe they have a deal, which would be cool for them if they love these brands, but I could see them simply liking these brands and that's it. They didn't always make "fashion" blogs, people were asking for the clothes brands and all so they are doing it more often now. But I don't think it means they get it for free and have a contract to promote them or something.

About the blog, HARU is so sexy .love. About the hair color I still prefer her with more darker hair, like I prefer MAMI with black or blond hair =P

The typhoon... Earth/Mother Nature hates Japan. I live in a very calm area, no typhoon or bad things at all, if this would happen here it would be seen as the end of the world by the people in the area :/ Can't really imagine how japanese people live with so many earthquakes alerts, tsunamis risk and typhoon.

^^ Yeah, that's also a good point, but the thing is because they're public figures, whether they like it or not, they girls are still gonna be in the eyes of those hundreds of thousands of people. For example, in the Inazuma Rock Fes. 2012, Haruna whispers to Tomo to put away her Pocari Sweat due to what I can only assume as promotional issues. Because they're not endorsing the product, then it's not a very smart move for the band to carry it around and show it off. 

Of course, you may be right in saying that the girls simply just like these brands, but who knows, maybe the girls have been getting fashion requests like these for ages, and only put their clothing up now because they actually have a deal with these brands. I don't really mind either way though tbh; Girls are happy with clothes; clothing brands are happy with extra promotion. Either way, it's a win-win situation that deals no harm. Even if the girls are sponsored by certain brands, I doubt they'd get everything completely for free. Now that'd just be crazy lol, but still a possibility. We're getting slightly off-topic here, but it is a good discussion.

Well, having all their favorite clothes for free is the ultimate dream for women no?

I have no idea if they have contracts but like you said I don't mind either, it's just normal business and if they win more money/get free things then I'm glad for them. It's just my personal feeling about it, I think they love these brands and wear them a lot and that's it. Maybe I am too naive but so far I didn't feel the "I'm promoting these brands please buy them" vibe at all, just a natural evolution because they love fashion and people requested these infos. If you think about, if they had a contract with a brand they surely could mention other brands anymore no? But unless I'm missing something here they mention several brands even if some of them are mentioned more ^^

Having clothes from whatever brand that you adore is basically just everyone's dream ahaha. 

Again, that is a possibility, and seeing it in your perspective it does make more sense and all but who knows, maybe they just have to promote what they're wearing for a certain amount during a specific duration of time or something, however that does seem pretty far-fetched. It sorta reminds me of the Squier deal I initially thought the girls had, and maybe actually do. One of the members here on SH mentioned that they thought that the girls had to use their signature instruments for a set amount of songs in each live performance, which made a lot of sense to me, but even with this 'contract', they could use their other gear too such as their Fender guitars/basses (which is actually who owns Squier LOL but anyway, point is, different brands are possible, e.g Mami's Gretsch). But anyway, if there is a fashion endorsement going on here, I definitely do think that it's a very subtle thing and not an in-your-face type of advertising, like what the members do with their tour goods and releases, haha.

Honestly, I don't believe they have a deal going on with brands right now. If they did, I think the brands themselves would be promoting the band wearing their stuff, but none that I've seen are doing that. The only one that I know they actually had a deal with was glamb last year. They wore glamb clothing to events and even in the "Kimi to Mirai to Kanzen Douki" PV. The girls definitely did blog and tweet they wore glamb clothes, and glamb themselves of course did the same as well.

Also, as was mentioned before, the girls started naming the brands they wear after several fans requested they do so. I don't think it was sponsored by any brands in any way; they just listened to what the fans were asking for. A few hours ago HARU was asked on Twitter by a fan about a plaid shirt she's worn recently, and she answered that she would write about it in a blog (which she did). So, yeah, them writing about their clothing seems really fan-driven to me.

Anyway, I'm afraid this has really gone off-topic and must insist that we cease this kind of discussion in this thread.

^^ Haha yeah, we totally went out of topic lol. Good point with the Glamb clothing too, and Rina and Tomo still do sometimes visit their exhibitions. It really probably is a fan-driven thing then, but hey, I'm definitely not complaining. Their fashion is fun to analyse, haha. Okay, no more fashion talk I promise lol. Maybe we should make a thread somewhere, like in the talk section, where we could talk about their fashion since it's a pretty big thing they talk about in their blogs. It'd be pretty fun to speculate and talk about all sorts of clothes they wear~ Apologies again, mods!
