but i've been thinking this since i found out the band SCANDAL.

They're all BEAUTIFUL, CUTE, GORGEOUS and etc.

(Can't express them in words. REALLY it's so difficult ) )

My question is..

Do they have Suitors now or before they started to form the Band like "ex-lovers"?

i won't be surprised if they had boyfriends before SCANDAL... actually I think TOMO seems like having the highest chance of having a boyfriend before :s

but currently i doubt so, because its probably stated in their contract that they're not allowed to date or something..

Nobody can actually tell, I believe they never say this kind of stuff because it will probably cost them a lot of fans if they say they have boyfriends, but im sure they probably do, just like any other girl would like

I personally won't care much if they have boyfriends, I mean, I like them for their music, honest to god, but I can imagine that they would lose some of their fans. It's a common thing in Japan to not talk about personal relationships if you're an idol lol. Partially because that guy you're dating could be stoned by obsessed fans and also because you want to keep your sales up.

But Rina stated once that she doesn't yet have the number of a guy right? Although that was quite a while ago, I would assume a cute girl like her to have a suitor by now. Applies to the rest of the girls O_O

So someone on facebook said that Rina might have a boyfriend..? I checked her blogs and stuff about this information and I did see the same guy name come up a couple of times... What do you guys think? The things she wrote could be for something else but I don't know.. Sorry if this has come up already.. But I'm just curious.

i wouldn't be surprised too much, but i would have thought Tomomi be the more likely cause Rina said in an interview that she doesn't have a guys phone number, though it might be outdated in a year since she said last year.

but they may keep private stuff like that to themselves cause if it got out i' think fans would be well what's the word, i don't think shocked but whatever the word they would probably ( fans wise) might stop bringin sales. so to keep sales going they (sony) may tell the girls to keep any personal info like that to themselves.

It's an inevitable fact that they'll have suitors and such, so it's best we leave their private lives, well, private LOL! I just hope that the guy anyone of them dates will treat them with respect and love them for who they are (and if possible, not after their fame and fortune....hmmm.)

yeah agree with that. even if they do i don't think they're allowed to go public

one of the risk becoming celebrity.. they should sacrifice or hiding their private life
and that was happens in almost every celebrity

so what's the matter? is it so much bothering us? I don't think so..
we like them because their performance and their song right?
and always hope they always doing good performance for all of us

don't forget that they started before they've got officially mature
(correct me, that is 20 years old in Japan)
so actually their parents had to sign the contract.


If it is so, that they have a closure in contract, they can't speak
about private life, or hide it - that's a pity and hopefully not the final
word, as they tend to be Scandal, rock band, not punny pop

For 4 cute, pretty, talented ladies with great personalities and full of sense of humor, it would be suprising that they DIDN'T have boyfriends/lovers, although they surely have lots of love from fans and (love) crushes.
They are not idols, per se, so I would think it would be okay for them, or not as bad as Idols in relationships. But since they are still celebs, it will affect their careers, since they are young and cute, so Sony would want them to concentrate on their careers than love, imo.
Although I'll admit I would be sad in some way, but in the end, they are musicians and performers, and are human beings with feelings and emotional needs. I think it would be fine if they date.
I also believe the reason why most fans doesn't want their "idols" to date is because they don't believe there are anyone who deserved them.
Otaku who worshiped their favorite Idols, would certainly thinks of them as perfect, and that there is no one who is befitting of receiving their Goddess' love and affection. But it's all pure fantasy.

SCANDAL doesn't perceived themselves as Idol, but musician and performers who strive for their music, as well as being ordinary girls.

I don't think this really matters as whtger they want to have one or not it not for anyone to decide and they should still be given some of their own space as their lives isn't just solely for entertaining fans. However I do agree that it might make them lose some fans...

Hahaha... This is always an interesting topic everywhere. Well, I won't say they haven't had a bf right now, neither will I say they have one.

Like everyone said, they're currently a half idol, and they won't expose that information because of contract and because of chance of losing some fans. Beside, their schedule was pretty much tight lately, and I highly doubt that they have the chance to meet and know some boys beside their own staff or other artists.

And if you talked about before forming SCANDAL, then Haruna has the fattest chance that she had established a relationship once, but it has ended a long time ago. That's my theory though, don't mind that. .wew.

In SI forum we have a very up-to-date translation of their blog, and I don't see any sign that Rina or the other are already in relationship. So rest assure -for now- xD Rina said lately that she was going to shopping mall at Ometesandou and watching live at Shimokitazawa alone. Alone... That sounded weird to me. That could be she was really alone or.... Well, you decide. .clap.

Well, of course, being selfish, I would prefer it if all of them remained single, but meh, if they're happy, why not? XD

Yes, they do have up-to-date blog translations. The catch is, the translations are in Indonesian.

Even if they are a pop-rock group, they're still a rock band. They're definitely not idols who are expected to not date or anything like that... They already make so many sacrifices for Scandal, I wouldn't want them to have to give up having a normal personal life too.

At AM2 when asked if their songs were written about relationships that they've actually had, Tomomi said yeah, and Mami elaborated that for other songs they imagine what a particular relationship would be like. I'm not going to post it since IMO their private life should be private, but there's old pictures kicking around...
