Sony Entertainment Hong Kong Facebook has just announced that SCANDAL will make their debut concert in Nippon Budokan on 28th March 2012. HORA!

They also break the record of fastest time for girl groups to perform there since formed.

Official news will probably be announced tomorrow.

OMG, this is far earlier that I expected and I feel so proud of them Tears of Joy

Hopefully they will also break the "largest crowd record" of Budokan which Chatmonchy (one of my fave band) currently holds the record...

according to J-ENT page 9.... the crowd estimate for Chatmonchy is 16K plus do hope that the girls break it.... to make it 17K+, allow people to watch while hanging by the ceiling.... seriously it's hard to top since Budokkan is a close venue.... but keep believing... who would have thought that they already tied Pink Sapphire's record 20 years ago for having a three consecutive album release within top 5 of the Oricon Weekly Charts and now they have a chance to make one with their forth album

Edit: It suddenly occurred to me that since this is very, very big deal, I think the odds are very good that a DVD will come out of this. Here's to hoping!

Since EPIC records has always released DVDs of their tours, I feel they'll also release one for this huge live event!

surpassing the record of Chatmonchy of 16K+ attendees will also depend on how the management / organizers maximize every square feet of Nippon Budokan.... Yui's perf in 2007 sold out "promptly" and yet Chatmonchy holds the record... so do hope that the organizers will really allow a greater than 16K available slots and most of the response of all their fans across Japan

I remember the discussion about this half a year ago. Then it seemed a remote possibility, and now it's already becoming reality. It's incredible, and, I think, well deserved. That is SCANDAL, full speed ahead and no fear!

And, I think, another concert DVD seems very likely. It will be their most epic one yet!
