Paris & London
Theme：RINA

For this year's New Year's vacation
I went to Paris and London
I went around to vintage shops
And cafes I was interested in, and I also went to markets✌︎
I walked around from morning until night
It felt like I had a year's worth of fun

On my last night I miracuously
Bumped into our European tour team by coincidence
The entire time was so much fun☺︎
I'm relieved to see they're as lively as usual

Gold on red, sequins that sparkle every time they move
I also went to the Moulin Rouge, which I had really wanted to visit
In the sparkling atmosphere just like that movie
The dancers with styles like dolls
Had your eyes glued to them during the highlight of the unfolding show
It was my first time seeing a cabaret
But I'm glad I went
I dressed myself up in dresses purchased at local secondhand shops
It was so much fun✌︎♡

While I'm alive
I want to see and learn about all sorts of things
Fall in love
Challenge things
It's looking to be a year where we'll be going around
To many cities and taking trips while on tour

Shoots and interviews started up from yesterday
We'll be talking a lot about our best album
The band will be in a very good mood in 2017 too✌︎

Glad Rina had fun, and came back safe, since she practically went by herself. First LA, and now Paris and London, I wonder what other countries she'll visits on their "Big break Vacay".

Well, they can go to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Russian Federation and in few years to Germany, after it will be safer.

Why would someone like her buy something from secondhand shops ? From what I know these shops are for poor people, not rich people.

Shes not by herself as you stated, from the pictures someone took them, but compared to a band activity, this counts as "relatively by herself" haha

Now, for the shops, what you find on vintage shops isnt necessarily cheap, whats "vintage" could be extremely rare, limited edition items. A Vintage shop should be different from a secondhand shop for the most part, even though some items at a Vintage shop might be previously owned. A secondhand shop (to me at least/in the US) would be for example, Good Will. A store where all/most of the items they sell are donations from people that no longer want the items, clothes are cleaned/washed and put for sale but price is low as there would be no reason for someone to spend as much on a piece of clothing that is old/used vs a new one. This in contrast to a Vintage shop, a Vintage shop might found a rare/old school item at a garage sale, a person might have walked in to sell it without knowing its real value, etc. and the prices could be higher. It really depends

Glad she came to visit Paris again and she enjoyed "la vie à la française" Happy

Concerning the Vintage Shop, that's a pretty common things in France and it's quite trendy, people will find good quality brands clothing at those shops (included original and rare items); Rina you definetly have a good taste Wink

Yes Lale and Yuffie are quite right, in England it is usually called 'Retro' and the older the clothes the more expensive they are, there are loads in London and I am sure Rina must have visited many of them.

There are several kinds of vintage/secondhand shops. There are cheaper shops like the kind you mentioned, but there are also higher end shops that do carry expensive, like-new items. RINA goes to the latter. Vintage stuff in good condition is typically very costly--it's usually more than current items you can find in stores selling brand new clothing. These shops are actually more suited for the "richer" people who are able to spend money on costly fashion items.

You may have missed this, but RINA's recent style book is 99.9% filled with styles she created with vintage (AKA secondhand) items. Plus, she's been gushing non-stop about vintage stuff for a long, long while now in blogs, tweets, etc. She likes the unique aspect of vintage/older items (ex: they don't look like anything made today, they have an older feel to them, they're "one of a kind," etc.).

I know she was accompanied by someone, what I meant is since she didn't have the members with her, and didn't seem to be meeting overseas friends(like she did in LA), which is what I meant by "by herself". .lol
