I like most Japanese foods, I think I won't mention them all since there are too many of them. But there is one dish I never liked - California Maki. It's not like it's not delicious or anything, actually I like the kani in it, but ever since the "wasabi incident" that I experienced once, I never wanted to eat California Maki after. I thought that I was going to die after having to eat a lot of wasabi! Hahaha. I was desperately gasping for air, teary-eyed. I was crazy before, trying to try things out of curiosity.
I still laugh at myself whenever I'm reminded of it, but I don't want to eat California Maki and wasabi anymore. I don't know, phobia? Hahaha.
Which makes me think, is there a certain phobia name for wasabi?
But one thing's certain, curiosity sure can kill the cat.
Kare raisu 「カレーライス」as well, as I kinda like the Japanese interpretation of the curry! I'd like it with either beef, chicken/chikin, or prawn/ebi, especially if deep-fried in panko breadcrumbs (made into katsu 「カツ」style).
i like ramen, tonkatsu, sushi, sashimi, mochii, takoyaki <3 , udon, tempura, jap. dumplings (i forgot how it is called in japan), i forgot the others!....... but i don't really like the miso soup,.. fermented soy beans just don't match my palates
"..Nee ima anata wa watashi wo oboeteiru? Nee ima watashi wa anata wo omoidashiteta.."
These two dishes with tempura are my current favs - tempura donburi (tendon) and tenzaru soba. Coupled with some hot hojicha (roasted green tea) - ultimate gastronomic bliss!
