university student majoring in food science and technology... my mother was completely against me taking this because of the seemingly poor job prospects, but i didn't care cos i wanted to study something i'm interested in rather than something that earns big but i have no interest in. ^^

Hey we are on the same boat, I major at Food science and technology too. except that it's my mom's will not mine (I began to like it recently). Actually I think this industry has a great prospect and opportunity.

Well I am in construction business, I paint houses, buildings etc. I was also a student majoring in filosophy, but it didn't work out, and now I am starting to learn english, spanish and japanese. English & Spanish are languages that I am good at, but i will be starting to learn Japanese from scratch.

This is just one man thought, if you are the best at what you do you don't need to worries about financial, people will search for you. The choice is yours mate, I'm just giving my honest opinion. well, I myself do stocks and forex trading secretly because my parents do not agree with me doing that kind of stuff.
