I hope too, because NHK also reported that the rad levels near fukushima had gone down, after helicopters sprayed seawater, while FOX reports that rad levels in Tokyo(?!) have gone up, but the thing is FOX is always unreliable some friends in the US say their reports is mostly to spread propaganda and paranoia .wtf.

Oh, I see.
I also heard that japanese engineers managed to connect new power-supply-cable, which can help to restart the cooling system on Fukushima
If this is true, it seems like situation is indeed stabilizing.
Really hope there will be only good news from now on.

Fox News is, indeed, very much biased and is more about catering to a particular audience and telling them what they want to hear.

I think the Nuclear instability is a lot worse because of the media's hyping and scare tactics to boost their ratings

I agree that the news media (especially American news media) does hype things, including this situation. But the power company in charge of the nuclear plants of concern has also had a history of not being straightforward with their public relations.

Now the media are saying that american planes were detected to have radiation, correct me if im wrong but dont you get radiation if your flying high in the atmosphere?

There is a lot of misunderstanding with radiation, especially in America. Partly because, frankly, we're not as well informed as we should be, and partly because we had a period after WW2 where we were in constant fear of being nuked by the Soviets. There is radiation at security checks, flying airplanes, smoking or breathing second hand smoke, x-rays, and simply being.
A plume of radiation from Fukushima came over to the West Coast of America a few days ago and there wasn't any sort of panic besides a surge in iodine tablet purchases.

it's a good idea for the meantime we are encouraging members who can to donate to their local RED CROSS or other official and verified institution that helps the relief effort in Japan.... be careful to those who are taking advantage of the situation
