Greetings everyone! I think I saw somewhere a member expressing interest to play drums but I can't remember where. If nobody steps up I can play it. I just wanna give someone an opportunity.

I think I will save my drumming for a song that I really know well. I can run the mix if Graffixron plays the drum part.

I just wanted to make a couple of notes on Guitar/Bass front in regards to that thread (Because it's locked)
Bass is exactly the same as guitar in regards to recording.
It's best to experiment with positioning of the mic, as you can get a huge variance in tone depending on where it is/distance from the cab etc - Also, try to stay as far away from the mic as you can when recording to avoid the unprocessed sound from being picked up (The twanging etc)
I'd definitely recommend using a USB interface though, as even with that you can run it through your amp and have the tone that your amp produces recorded.

same with me, i have tried so many times but the result is too bad. i can't get the drums for currently project i guess .whiteflag.

So, is there still no drummer for the cover?

I can do it. It's no problem. I'm probably the only exception to the rule of "double duty" because I have mixing equipment. Regardless of who wants to mix I probably will do it as well because for me it is an exercise in learning how to get better results. I'm not trying to be dominant or pushy... oh no. I encourage my fellow drummers to keep working with their kits and try to get a good recording. Drums are the single hardest thing to record. That's why you see drum kits already set-up in professional studios permanently there. All of the micing and levels are already set.
If anyone has any recording questions you can always send me a PM... I'm always available to help any way that I can.
If the other musicians and singers are in place I will begin getting the drum part down and that will be our starting point... If that's ok with everyone.
If this is no good... please let me know as well!
I will ask my fellow-administrator Joseph if he sees any problems or issues?

Magician... I think it would be cool if you work the mixing as well. We both have expertise in that field. I think it would be cool to have a mixdown from both of us.. just for kicks to see how we are different/same and let Joseph use whichever one he likes best for the video's audio track... just a thought....

hey if you dont mind, count me in too.

madeindar - If you want to try a mix feel free. I will drop out from mixing... I appreciate the enthusiasm from everyone to jump in and get busy but it can become a bit crowded and somewhat unnecessary... so I will stick to the drum track.
On that note... This song is very "processed" and could even be considered a bit "overmastered". I believe Magician may agree with me on this. The is a definite disconnect in the drum part and I am trying to learn it as it is recorded but I haven't got it completely verbatim... close but Rina and I play very differently.
I will give it my best and post the drum track within the next two days.

oh i forgot to tell you, the Switch video got great responses from SCANDAL fanbase in Indonesia. and they cant hardly wait for the next project. great job, guys!
