In this blog I've gathered the song explanatons that I wrote on Twitter about all of the songs on our album 【HELLO WORLD】︎Check it out, if you'd like!



M01. Image
A song we completed around the time of our arena performances; our current band mode has come forth to the front. We want to head to an even greater tomorrow and be someone new again. We looked ahead while standing on stage. A thrilling, refreshing, straight-forward song done in a single cut. I'm glad we made this the opener to the album. Anything important is an image!


M02. Your song
A  song we made while on our small tour in May. Unusually writing the music first, we took a long amount of time to pen the lyrics. We ended up with an earthy message that's full of humanity. You can only do it when you seriously think of things like that. Those important to us aren't always around at important times. You are your own remote control. A live song that the listeners have cultivated


M03. love in action
MAMI e-mailed us, 『I want to do a rhythm song with no eight beats or 4/4 !』 and this song was returned. A pleasant feeling of the singing/guitars/bass/drums all beat out of rhythm and a happy feeling. It's fun. The D-BEAM that comes out once in a while gives it a good spice. I want to do a chorus together


M04. Departure
This year started from here. Even though it's a new song, it's a song that has a sense of security, like it's been around for a long time. You might get a different feeling from it when you listen to it after following the band's story. Pleasant strings and emotions of Japan. A sakura song packed with the appeal of  the four seasons that you'll want to listen to all seasons.


M05. Graduation
When HARUNA sent us the demo of her playing and singing this herself, I thought that a 26-year-old's femininity and roots are coming through to the front more than ever beforeー.  When we met and talked about it, she told us, 『 I want it to be a easy-to-sing song at karaoke』. It was like, "Ah, I see." An urban rock tune thoroughly mixed up in keys and melody lines


M6. Yoake no Ryuuseigun
Being able to sing a Pokemon theme song is like a dream. I loved spending summer vacation as a family when I was a kid. Hooked on piano and movies, I feel like I had grown so much in just one summer. The big stage and huge screen that were like they were packed with that happiness and excitement excellently suiting it; a song that'll have you dreaming once more as an adult


M07. Onegai Navigation
The sequel to 【Awanai Tsumori no, Genki de ne】. I wrote this on our hall tour last year while imagining that girl's near future. The melody is by MAMI. Exactly around then is when the members were talking about getting their driving licenses, and we decided on the situation in the car. They passed with flying colors! We finished it with a great melody


M08. Runners high
After our first performance at Osaka-Jo Hall, HARUNA brought out lyrics first. Even though our dream since our indie days had come true, we realized that in its place was the starting line. A live song that floated with a good meaning within our album that has songs with a lived-in feel to them.


M09. Hon wo Yomu
Beginning to like what the person you like likes. MAMI wrote the lyrics/music/composition with that theme and took it upon herself to do the lead vocals for. Another important point is that the other 3 members harmonize in a chorus. We've already been together for eight years, and she's always been bad with books like the hero of this song. Lyrics that trace a transformed mind. Great


M10. Kan Biiru
When we vaguely wanted to write a romantic song, a commercial for a beer came on TV. Suddenly take a pen and, as a girl who's bad with alcohol, finish the lyrics from the perspective of a girl who doesn't drink, instead of well-drawing out the feelings of a girl who drinks. A number with the glamour of lyrics/music/lead vocals by TOMOMI.


M11. Winter story
Since I noticed I had been writing nothing but summer songs, I made a warm winter song. A song about the end of a couple who had been going out for years and know what bittersweet is. I had been wondering when the line that the chorus begins from that I made a while ago would be used. The distorted Mellotron is good. One song I'd like lovers to listen to on Christmas


M12. Oyasumi
While on my hotel bed, I wrote the lyrics on our hall tour last year. Doing arena performances was possible, and I wanted to write a song with a sense of scale. Shoegazing with a combination of an unchanging melody and changing chords and rhythms. Wanting to live forever glittering. Lyrics, music, lead vocals/guitar by RINA


M13. Place of life
A song we made together with Tetsuya Komuro. I don't really imagine Komuro-san producing many bands, but, for us who did nothing but dance before forming a band, he's a person with musical roots. The best epilogue born with the large theme called 【life】

Each year I write my own commentary about the album, but this time I was able to write it more smoothly than I ever have before. What's left is to tell it in person.
