Well I know most Japanese girls are slender but I think all of Scandal except Tomomi could do with a little extra weight.
I am not going to start that old 'Is Haruna too thin" ? argument again but if you look at them in 2008 there is a BIG difference.

What is or is not "thin" or "fat" really is a culturally relevant issue. There's a channel on youtube called rachelandjun don by a girl from the USA who is married to a Japanese guy. They do lots of videos that examine the cultural differences between Japan and the West. One she did back in early 2014 that was pretty controversial was about the concept of "thin" and "fat" from the Japanese perspective.
