I bet she has to get her nails touched up a lot. I'm sure drumming causes a good bit of nicking here and there on the finish.

Nah, hers don't chip since she gets gel manicures. Gel polish sticks to your nails so well that everything stays on/doesn't chip until you go to professionally remove it/have a new manicure done.
