Last night

Two of my voice training teachers, Umika Kawashima-chan, and I had a girls' party

While having a girls' party, we had a meat party
We ate so much; it was so filling!
It was my first time eating with Umi-chan, so I'm glad we got to talk about a lot of things!


We weren't able to eat unagi*, but it seems like we've built up stamina and will get through the hot days!!

Freshwater eel is very popular in England too but it looks too much like snake for my taste !
Although here it is usually served as Jellied eel.

Eel is best served freshly smoked. Using alder wood with few branches of cherry. Period! Damn, now I am hungry Wink

The only time I have eel at home is fried on Christmas Eve as one of the seven fishes we have for dinner.   Aside from sushi restaurants, I don't come across eel on too many menus to get to enjoy it any other way, but I have had it smoked and that is quite good.

Very sad... here in Canada its almost a specie in peril & most of the product is ship overseas or sold in US. I cant remember the last time I’ve ate some...
