I did not play it like that on purpose (though I think pinq added some echo, correct me if I'm wrong cause I can't check atm). Starting to think I need a new amp because it has trouble doing any more distortion than that.

One thing I didn't realize with my part is I was cutting off a lot of the notes earlier (like instead of quarter - eighth - eighth it's quarter - eighth - sixteenth - rest). Sounds a bit out of place to me, but I'd be more likely to notice as it's my part. What does everyone else think? But other than that I think it sounds really good.

Personally your guitar in the intro sounds a little too clean but that's just me. Easily remedied in post by pinq, if needs be. Also, the .mp3 was just a test file intended for us to see how everyone fits together.

As for the cutting off bits - are you talking about your C-D-Em-A-etc riff during the verse. I kinda noticed it but only after you mentioned it. It's more obvious in the early bit of verse 2 (during the jokey bit in the video). Personally, I won't be losing any sleep over it as it sounds ok, albeit a tad different from the original recording. That's just my opinion.

There is nothing wrong with the mix, and I love it, but...

... prolly it is just me but spongy's distortion/overdrive-less intro kinda sticks out a bit. If you could add a Fulltone OCD (or anything of the like in your arsenal of plugins) that may do the trick.

Again, this is only my opinion... I think more importantly we see what spongy says.

Yeah my opening riff sounds kinda... surfer rock, hehe. I think it would be good for me to redo it with the plam mute, if that would work (it's important to have the start of the song right imo). Would it be better to just redo those two riffs or the whole thing? I just don't want pinq to have to do a ton more work.

It's up to you. Should be a relatively easy drag and drop for pinq (hope not being too presumptuous here). And if you have a moment to spare.

Listening to the mix again - I have no qualms with it now, especially after having it on repeat for 3 hrs during video editing, so it's up to you.

At least with the palm muting, adding distortion in post will give the desired effect.

I have edited the jokey bit between tomoyachie, lethaldj13 and neopode - it turned out as I envisioned. Thanks to the three of you - considering you three are miles apart, and working individually.

Just a slight issue with tomoyachie's sync with her own vocals, though - you sang with an actual SCANDAL track as opposed to your own track. But with the fun shenanigans between the three of you, I'd forgive the slight mis-sync. So, no biggie.

turn up your gain to the max adjust your volume amp output to prevent peaking on your mic, should be no problem for active pickup with flat eq on your amp

Omg... I'm a big dummy and had the gain all the way down the whole time. Good call pinq. I forget what kind of amp, I'll check it out tomorrow. (It's still kinda janky though)

I once scrapped a whole project because the video and audio didn't sync despite recording them at the same time. But I think it'll turn out fine, since you won't be in the frame for the whole thing.

better than stomp box imo
