Maybe some of you already aware that Dr Martens 8 eyelet boot was a Rocker's icon and even a must have item.
Members from Oasis, Sound Garden to Metallica all wore them.
Our beloved Scandal wear them. Also Silent Siren, Band-Maid and Roselia etc.
Mine was bought in the 90's and they are still in good shape today.
I'm interested to know how many of you have a pair of Dr Martens 8 eyelet boots?

I have a pair, although bought this century. When I was in med school a million years ago, a bog standard DM is made in England and you can pay GBP25 for a pair in the sales.

Not anymore.

@kudo_maharizu I have other boosts that are much expensive but the Dr Marten last the longest.
I remember seeing Scandal on those 8 eyelet boots, they look really good! Maybe that is part of the reason why I love them.

I never had the full boot, but I wore the shoes for many years throughout the 90s until I wore them out.  I still have a pair but rarely wear them.  For some reason they don’t look as cool on my feet any longer.

I’m sure TonyMiller can appreciate this: no matter how prominent Doc Martens are in rock ‘n roll culture, I can’t help but always think about Alexi Sayle on “The Young Ones.”

I currently own a pair of Made in England Arthur. The famous 1960 are too short and narrow for me so, I purchased the later half the price at a DM boutique in Manila exactly a year ago. I like it but, problem is the leather is way too stiff compare to the old MIE I used to wear from 1993 to 1998. I understand that the soles become quite slippery after even a few times of wear because, I bought an old stock. I have to wash the soles with dishwashing soap monthly to regain their traction.

I really like the style of Doc Martens but they don't suit my clothing style so i always kept by Allstars  

Yeah, I have several pairs, not all 8 eyelet (Scandal wear other models too). I have had two pairs of Made in England, and a few of the Asian version.

I don't wear them as my main shoes anymore (they're quite heavy, which you can kind of see when Scandal walk with them), but I still have them and wear them sometimes.

That series was pure comic genius. I used to watch it religiously on MTV. I've got the series on DVD, and it still makes me bust a gut. Especially when I see that, for the most part, college students today are even bigger morons!!

The recent Dr Martens just aren't the same  , last time I was in London, ended up going Camden Town for a pair of Solovair instead, they used to make shoes for Dr Martens too, but contract ended, much better quality and still made in Northamptonshire. But be aware very few stores have them. You don't get the airwair tag nor Yellow laces, but they are much better made.

Haven't seen Scandal wear DM for a while now.

Early in the year did see yui (FLOWER FLOWER) has a pair of boots.

I'm sure they still wear them. Just not all the time and not all four together, but then they only did that for a pretty short time too, when the DM's were part of their actual planned outfits.

I haven't been paying too close attention but I'm reasonably sure I have seen one or more of them wearing DM's of some type pretty recently. DM does make a lot of different styles.

When I saw Scandal live in Nagoya and was like 2 feet away from Mami, she was wearing some kind of suede 8 eyelet DM's (I remember them being purple but that may have been the blue-ish lights). I've otherwise never seen suede DM's in real life. I don't think I've seen her wearing those before or since. I would love to see a photo if anyone has one, since that whole concert kinda seems like it was a dream.

And just recently in NYC, HARU wore a pair.
