I was wondering if it's possible to get a more flashy notification for friend requests like for new messages.
I almost never think of checking the friend and foes tab, but when I do I have friend requests there and I am just like "Wonder how long they have been there"

Yeh how can we know how long that request is sent to us??? .omg.

I agree about the more flashy notification like with messages. I only check if I remember...and...I don't remember to check very often.

is it possible for friend request notifications to be sent as messages?
i think that's the best way other than directly having a new friend request link which requires a layout change.

I think we do need a better system for friend requests.
I recently reminded a new member he had not said yes or no to my friend request and he said he did not know how to.
When I told him what to do he found he had about 4 friend requests sitting there !

Yeah this sounds nice for me as well. But sadly Forumotion has no option to give notifications for friend request. So there's nothing I can do about it. xD

to add friends you must have a high percentage of user ranks ?

I ask because in another forum had this system

add friends but not if they get to the request

I think you can request someone as a friend at whatever level. You just need to go to the persons profile and click on "add to my friends" above their avatar pic. The person you send a request to might not see and accept/deny it right away though because the only way to check for friend requests(ones you have received and sent) is to go to "profile" in the menu bar at the top of the page. Then click on "friends and foes".

erm, i no this is really really late post, but i somewat thought of it like a week ago o so, and i hope this dont cover the Forumotion thing,
but wat if we had a blue thing highlight the profile link 2 notifying us if we have any friend request, u no like the message link wen u get a notification 4 a new messsage.
