@f.raw: Roots = roots of the hair. MAMI's hair is a natural dark color so when her hair grows out and you can see her natural hair color near her scalp, she has her roots dyed/colored blonde to match the rest of her hair.

And about the mask thing, it's pretty common in Japan. I personally don't think that she's sick right now (she definitely would have said something about it), but people do wear them when they're sick/to prevent sickness too, I'm sure, and also to avoid pollen and such. And of course this isn't applicable this time of the year, but when I was in Japan earlier this year when it was pretty cold and windy, I wore a mask to keep my face warm.

She could be sick, Japanese people often wear a mask to avoid giving their cough
or cold to other people.
But singers also wear them to protect their voice.

I love her hair, but I wish it was black again, blond hair makes me think of Korean bands,
not that I have anything against Korean bands.

I think she said she had no makeup on... well that mask does hide most of her face for that matter... I doubt she sick...

Since Mami also had her roots colored, the mask probably prevents her from smelling the hair coloring substance. Probably because she doesn't like the scent or it makes her dizzy or something like that. But that's just my wild guess though...

lol, her hair won't always be blonde unless she keeps dyeing it blonde. xD As you said in your second phrase, she just dyed the roots of her hair to match the rest of her hair. When our hair grows, the new hair coming from the roots will of course always be in our natural hair color regardless if we dyed our hair. Happy

I like her extensions, because I prefer her with her long/released hair.
And obviously, as everyone, I miss her black hair especially during the BABY ACTION days and the Zippo photoshoot, it was as the apogee of her hair, hope like Haruna, her original black hair will come back xD
