Our album impression since flying get day,
have come into neverending inspiration.







There are people who made us interested with the instrument too,
and I'd be glad to get any of their input.
















This is,
The keyboard I played on Kill The Virgin.
We stick it along with the sampling of recorded monotony drums.
That's why the drums recording for this song finished in two minutes.
The studio scenery was very strange.
Since I'm playing it in this way for the first time, I felt so happy-.
Recently the scene of me playing keyboard also has increase little by little, and I'm going to love my original favorite instrument again.
I wanted to learn it more.
Then, beyond expectation, there'd be a situation on the live show when instrumental music composition leaping around.
All of whispering voice sang by HARUNA. The lyrics that she sang is awesome. Lol.

















This is Bitter Chocolate drum sheet
Though it's very rough since it's for my personal use, but it always like this.
When recording, I play it by looking up on the lyrics+drum sheet that I draw myself.
Though this song using standard toms phrase, I feel a sense of knowledge and scale I haven't done before.
And later, the triplet* part that appear in the song, it's my favorite.
Though there's a plus or minus things on drums as a instrument, visually,
but I think it's an instrument that easy to take it's personality out,
And I want to break the [drum = grim] images, so I playing it on a set as simple as possible.
Certainly, from now on.
Furthermore, I want it to appear in its same sound.
A drums is a sexy and delicate instrument that also fit for the ladies.
Of course I play my usual set for recording. The stable Pearl.
And because Bitter Chocolate also can record the studio atmosphere sense particularly within, I wish I could sense everything on it.

Note: Rina wrote Nikunan soba** (hot), Tamagotoji soba (hot), Sukiyakidon, and Tsukimi soba on the music score in the 4th picture..

* Triplets are a 3/4 timing beat, meaning that there are three counts in each measure (1-2-3, 1-2-3). A simple triplet beat can be played by keeping a steady double bass beat and adding a cymbal hit every three beats and a snare hit every six beats.

Nice one jigoku. Nice info here from Rina. So does this mean RINA is getting proper keyboard playing credits on this album? It's great if she does and it would be better if she plays synth during live performances of KTV.

Btw, that keyboard is the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, a vintage 80's era analogue synthesizer. Most synthesizers these days are digital so this is really, really cool.

Edit: Btw, I'm glad that it was Rina who did keyboards on this song, it's the core instrument here and the keyboard phrases are pretty awesome. I understand if they bring in guests or sessionists to cover for other instruments but I always like it more if the girls played all the instruments themselves

I agree with Rina, Haruna's vocals on this album are far beyond incredible ! But, I wonder if Haruna can constantly reproduce that high quality at every live show. I think Mami was right. Scandal has indeed "Powered Up". I just hope they don't burn out.

Rina's Blog entry always reflect her thoughts. I also sometimes make notes that looks like scribble, a note that only I can understand.

I'm not very music smart, but hearing KTV I always thought, what is that sound? In the solo, that funky sounding sound. lol
I'm like, "It sounds like a keyboard...omg does Rina play this?!!" xDD

In KTV, I love Haruna's whispering! It does seem that she's getting better with her english, same with all the members as well!

I've always been curious how they will play Kill the Virgin in their live... Although it would be nice to see Rina playing the keyboard again though (like in Shoujo M).

I really like Haruna's whispering in KTV (even in the previews)... It's actually my favorite part of the song.
