The Amazon Japan links can be found on the special site, but both editions they're offering (the CD and CD+T-Shirt) are sold out.

It does say "temporarily" sold out, but it's unlikely they'll actually restock them seeing as the band has said that once pre-order stocks are sold out, they will not be restocked.

Whenever I hear music described as "festive" I think of the guys across the street blasting "Tejanos" music all summer. If the new single is an accordion-heavy polka, it will definitely blow my mind. That would be pretty cool.

The Vinyl version of the single has now sold out.
CD version only also sold out at CDJ/Victor/Rakuten/HMV.

That's nonsense, nearly everything was sold out even before the end of the first day of Pre-order. I didn't have time to order the simple CD version... why do they release so few??? It's really disappointing...

Have ordered CD, cassette and other stuff, but I didn't have time to order Vinyl. It's really fast, I had no idea that the new release would be sold out on the first day. There are really so few copies. And as I understand, it was possible to order many copies to one person. Looks like I'll have to overpay and search for this on yahoo etc and buy from "faster buyers"...

That’s what VICTOR should’ve done - one item per person.

I know this is how capitalism in the free world operates but I abhor those who buy a bundle to make a quick buck eg sneakers and other hyped branded goods

While I too hate people who try and make a profit by reselling, and also agree that they should limit the number of copies that one person can order with limited releases like this, I disagree with limiting it to one item. I think you should be able to get any editions you want, and that getting 3-5 of each edition should be the max.

Just want to leave a reminder that not everyone who buys multiple copies is trying to make a buck. A couple of my local friends and I always do group orders to save on shipping costs (and we did so for this release too, with four being the most copies of an edition ordered), and we of course have no plans to try and resell any of them later.

I happened to look at twitter while at work yesterday minutes after it was announced so I logged into cdjapan, even then it said they only had 28 available. Sadly I didn't get it as my credit card on there had expired in December and I'd left my wallet at home with my new card in. 

By the time I had got home they had all gone not supprisingly, so I had to settle on the cd and t-shirt bundle. Bit more than I wanted to spend but extra merch I guess.

Well, at first I thought to buy through a CDJAPAN proxy, together with other goods, and more convenient delivery... But then, when I was online after a while, I saw that CD only was sold out in many places. So, I ordered a CD-T-shirt with CDjapan and everything else from Victor, but Vinyl was no longer available .. I didn't think it would ends in 1 day.

I don’t blame people who buy multiple copies for friends, etc., But I suspect that I’ll be able to find this after release at auctions for 3-5 overprices, as it was with SCANDAL GroundY branded goods and others...

Just to further clarify my “one item” statement - of course it was meant for one item per version of the single. And my abhorrence for multiple purchases of each version wasn’t a blanket statement either. Aimed only to those who intends to make a quick buck. These people will still be around regardless of what I think anyway.

Back to the topic: Will be very interested to hear what eternal will sound like. The title on its own invokes a calming perhaps sentimental and more sedate tune, although if the press release described this as celebratory, a more upbeat song is more apt. Rock? Dance/EDM-tinged?

^ Before the description came out, the title made me think it'd be a Mabataki-type song.

But now iirc the last time they described a song as "festive" was in reference to Kinenbi, so it's probably happy and upbeat instead.

Dance rock type like Take Me Out or Love Me Do would be awesome, they don't have enough of those

But honestly, I can't trust the descripton. When "Take me out" was released, it had been stated before the release that it's an upbeat hard rock song or smth like that, and it didn't sound like that at all (really loved the song though). So we'll just see at the release how it sounds

I really really hope there will be some harmonies on the vocal between Haru, Tomo, and Mami (or plus Rina, that would be perfect!). Somehow I suddenly realized I really missed hearing these girls sing together doing harmonies   since there's not much harmonies on the vocal on their last album

I could be wrong, This limited number of Merch could be down to them being their own record label. They now got to look at the cost of things like how many T-shirts or CDs they want made, the girls don't want to be stuck with couple hundreds unsold goods.

Vinyl KFTD is going for $200 or more on ebay and discogs, so yes, there are definitely people who buy limited edition items in order to resell them at a profit. It's like ticket scalping. A concert ticket is limited by the size of the venue, but other items are limited by choice. Limited edition clothing items are good, since you don't walk into a thrift store and see the same thing you're wearing, ha ha. For other items, it seems it (the limited edition) must be for inventory control, or marketing, or both. (Actually, now that I think about it, the venue size is an inventory control decision as well, since it's most profitable to pick the largest venue you can sell out, I'd imagine.) But for whatever the reason, a limit also unfortunately creates an opportunity for scalpers.
It's hard to guess how limited a limited edition is, but my guess on the vinyl is 500-1000 units. I did not get one, although I tried. I of course will still be able to hear the song, but the marketing part was definitely working, ha ha.

I managed to buy the single CD using the proxy shopping option from CDJapan  .hardwork.

Vinyl is on sale again, now I bought it, yes!  .clap.
