@BigDmn01 LOL traitor!

Not really. I too rooted for Japan but for a different reason, after all they gone through this year with the earthquake, tsunami, and everything. Otherwise I would have felt indifferent about the result.

@topic this thread is just dandy for me considering Im a huge sports fan. Lets see here Ive played baseball, football, american football, table tennis, and basketball. Ive always wanted to step into a ring and box even if I get my butt kicked.

My sports

1)Boxing
2)Basketball
3)Baseball
4)Football
5)American football
6)Volleyball
7)Hockey

Lets see Im a ATL Falcons, NY Mets, DAL Mavericks fan. As for football, I always root for Chealsea FC, as I do the Puerto Rico Islanders, while national teamwise considering my country doesnt have a team, I always end up rooting for all latinamerican teams in the world cup with Paraguay being my first team. Im a Cangrejeros fan from the heart in the Puerto Rican basketball league.

@Counterclock: Haha, I may as well be.
Japan teams just impresses me more than the USA team.
Japan had style, team unity, great possession game, great passing ability. They dominated in most of their games.
And what they are playing for is too great, for their families, friends and people in Japan who are suffering from the disasters and the incompetent Politicians. For several players, it was personal. Some lost their friends and their homes and jobs, like #15 Sameshima.

USA team was good to in many aspect, how ever I was most turned off from their arrogance. It's fine to be confident, in fact it's recommended. But too much confident becomes arrogance.

"Pride is an eminent trait, but too much will cause arrogance. That is when it becomes disgusting." - Duke Togo

Agreed, in fact for me team USA was the better team for the most part of the game, and yet Japan deserved the win after both comebacks.

I did get ticked off when some of their players said, "Go watch us win the World Cup" at the ESPYS, when they should just have said "Go see us at the finals". Its one thing to have confidence, its another to be arrogant.

Congrats to KEI NISHIKORI!!!
He made it to the quarter finals of the Australian Open :D :D
First Japanese player to make it to quarters of a grand slam since Matsuoka Shuzo

He was the first professional tennis player I saw live at the Aus. Open last year, and his rise since then has been amazing!

He beat Tsonga!

I used to play basketball because I'm quite tall at 196cm but I haven't played in a long while.

My favourite sport to watch though would have to be rugby.

My favorite sport to watch is baseball. I've been a fan of the San Francisco Giants since I was about 8 years old. Watching them win the World Series in 2010 was one of the greatest moments in my life so far.

I'm also a big fan of my college team, the California Golden Bears (Cal Bears for short). I follow Cal football, basketball, and baseball most closely. Note to Aussies: Cal rugby has gone on tours in Australia and done pretty well, and there are graduates who go on to play at Oxford, so we're no slouches!

I also watch the NFL a bit, but am not really a fan of any team; I just watch for appreciation of the game. I was rooting for the 49ers until they lost last night, though. I don't care for the NBA at all.

I played tennis in high school and now am learning kendo. I also watch tennis; Nadal, Roddick, and Wozniacki (dang it, Clijsters) are my favorite players. I'm looking forward to watching Nishikori continue to improve. Murray should win, but hopefully it'll be an entertaining match.

i play basketball, most of the time i get way too competitive, and i play the 3/SF but since i jump higher than most of my team mates and apparently i can body up with taller guys too, my team uses me at the 4/PF. i love basketball, basketball is my life. lol

i also play some soccer with my mates, not really good at it but i can do some tricks ROFL

my NBA team is the Boston Celtics, and my favorite players would be Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett.

and since i enjoy soccer i follow the premier league and spanish league. my favorite teams from those two are Manchester United and Real Madrid. favorite players from those teams would be Cristiano Ronaldo, Dimitar Berbatov, Kaka and Wayne Rooney. so happy that both my teams are at the top of their tables TOJ Onion

In terms of playing, I find Tennis to be the most fun sport.
In terms of watching, I've followed boxing very closely since I was about 14 (Almost 5 years now) and really want to get into it myself.

My favourite boxer is Arturo Gatti; before he passed he was such an exciting fighter, and put everything into his fights, even if he wasn't the best. After that it's Victor Ortiz and Manny Pacquiao; they both make for exciting fights as well, and are both brilliant boxers.
