Since I'm a bassist, I prefer guitar .clap. you can go aroud and it's fun to play with the strings of the guitar, specially when you are playing it .wow.

but now, I go for Drums since that's my current position in my band.

i would like to be a drummer because the main beat of a rock song is in the drums but i play the bass which still good because it is a must in a rock band. a bassist is always present in rock shows

I agree with you, sir! That's why I wonder why bassists are more often under appreciated than the guitarists and drummers. (Off topic, side comment xD)

On to the question, our drummer have always been encouraging me to learn the drums but sadly no matter how I think about considering it, I just can't see myself playing them! The way I see it, drums (and percussion instruments as well) are my most feared instrument, and I don't know why. Maybe because one just cannot afford to make mistakes in playing them. Mistakes would be really obvious, of course, so I'll just have to stick with the bass and guitar for now. I'm very comfortable with them and I don't feel like going out from my "comfort zone" yet.

Since I play both, and both occasionally, I prefer to be a drummer. Just like bass, drum is the foundation of a band. And you gotta admit, drummer is the most underrated position of a band. Even more underrated than bassist. .common.

I would prefer Guitar and Bass

well, i will choose to be a drummer because it's my passion. ^o^

If I'm in the band, I would prefer to be the drummer, because I'm the type who doesn't like to be in the spotlight too much. But being a drummer, there's not much job available I guess other than being in the band. Whereas if you're a guitarist, you can still goes solo if you can sing. So yeah, both has advantage and disadvantage. I would still choose drum if I can.

Hey guys I think most of us use Guitar Pro, so probably anybody wants to try to make a song in it? It's very easy to edit and very easy to send GP files to each other. Guitar Pro 6 with RSE has a listenable sound Any amount of members can participate and add anything they want with any instruments they like.

I play bass and I taught myself, and from what I know, guitar is more similar to bass than drums, but they're still alike...but I'd go drums.

I think the drums are a really cool instrument because of the different beats you can make, and I think that drummers have almost as much, if not more, freedom when they play than a bass. A guitar seems really cool, and I'd love to try it out, but I think that's harder to teach yourself to play than bass or drums. But I think both are cool, like I feel about every instrument.

I will be a drummer, for a change

Being a drummer is so obviously cool but I don't have a talent to even bang a drum so I prefer Guitar, why?? Because I can play guitar and I can easily read guitar tabs though some people say that it is difficult to read but I surpass it. And now I wanted to be both a rhythm guitarist/vocalist just like Haruna and a lead guitarist just like Mami. I think I have to have my clone to do that at the same time

Really, I don't think you need any talent just to play any of musical instruments. As I play drums, guitars, bass and keyboards myself, I can see that in learning a new instrument everything is just about time, motivation, and learning program / teacher. Talent is something much more - it's about palying much better and much deeper than anybody else can, it's about adding something new to music and people life. So you don't need talent just to be able to play anything. Just spend enough time and enough hours of practicing and you will be able to play any instrument you want.
