It was so much fun, and I'm happy that many could hear the song,

@ jigoku79 Guitar is definitely a telecaster, with p90s of some kind. Can't tell what specific model or if it's fender or squire without seeing more of it though.

From the appearance of the guitar's upper horn with the pickguard shape and position of the pickup toggle switch, I felt that it must be a Tele - either a 72 Custom or Deluxe. Tele Customs or Deluxes do not have P-90 neck pickups as standard.

Then, lo and behold - the 2013 Fender catalogue shows this - the Classic Player Tele Deluxe Black Dove (available in black and crimson red transparent) which has P-90-styled Black Dove pups:

Timo already has an acoustic guitar so if she gets an electric to mess around with, it'll be awesome! In fact I think they should all learn each others' instruments, it's good for them as musicians.

And it makes it possible for them to a Dream Theatre/Nightmare Cinema kind of member swap thing during their shows. That'd be so much fun to watch!

But i doubt we will ever see that. Rina seems to be very interested in creating music, she knows piano/keyboard and drums and likes to write songs/demos. I guess that learning and playing guitar would be great for her to create songs so she could write the guitar/drums/keyboard part AND the lyrics.

It did exist in Japan but only limited to old computers in order to make accounting operations easier, however it's not common nowadays.

BTW, Rina and Tomomi already have guitars. Rina uses her guitar (and bass) to help her compose songs. I'm sure she talked about it before in one of her blogs. Tomomi has a Yamaha acoustic guitar, I don't know if she has an electric guitar or not.

I think Maharizm got it the first time - that guitar looks like a Classic Player Tele Deluxe Black Dove to me, and I'll bet it's just the standard Crimson Transparent and the cell phone cam is making it look a little more pinkish. But we'll see, it could be something else, but that seems most likely.

I also get the impression that it's Tomomi's guitar, and Rina's just saying they were both talking about it.

I was pretty curious about the Fender silverface amp - what is that, a Super Reverb with a missing knob? I haven't seen that before. That's gotta be Haruna's (or the studio's, but it's gotta be Haruna using it). She used to use a modern Twin Reverb but if that's her Super Reverb, then she's really developing some taste in amps.

After some sleuthing (ain't Google great?), it's gotta be a silverface Fender Bassman Ten.
I suppose the first clue is its height - taller than HARU's Shinos. And the numbers of knobs which looks like a Super Reverb missing one knob. And the blue font has two lines (as opposed to one) next to the amp's glowing red jewel on its left if you look at RINA's photo.

It's a 4x10" (hence the "ten"), 50W RMS and first built in the 70s (thanks to wiki - learnt something here myself ).

And yeah, about HARU's (or even MAMItasu's) taste in amps - the AwanaiTsumorino PV had a Hughes&Kettner head/cab too!!! Unless it's just for show for the music vid...

Yeah you're probably right. The late 70's super reverbs had all of those features too (well, except the missing knob) which is why I thought that originally, but it makes more sense that it's a Bassman Ten. I think that's most likely the studio's amp, then - I don't think I've seen Tomomi play anything like that before.

The guitarist in me would love it if one of them did start buying vintage gear.

The Fender Bassman amps are very well known to be favoured by guitarists, despite the original reason Fender built it - hence, highly likely that either HARU or MAMI is using it. Possibly HARU as it is placed next to her white Shinos. Of course, I'm only guessing.
