I noticed something was up around 12 hours ago, about 10pm UK time. There was also what looked to be a telephone number (no I didn't write it down) in the bio at the time. I think the name might have been different also, but I've been asleep since then SCANDAL Twitter - Page 34 1f606

Okay...this all happened within the span of like 10 minutes just now lol

So the hacker changed RINA's display name from Levy to "Akif":

And then started tweeting some random things in Turkish:

And then changed the name to "Yusuf islam Unan" as well as the Twitter handle to "yusufunanunann":

And right after that, the account was deleted/removed, most likely due to all of the suspicious activity and reports:

And since RINA's "scandal_rina" handle was up for grabs after the hacker changed it, someone claimed it for "safekeeping":

At any rate, we're going to inform SCANDAL's staff and RINA that someone's "safekeeping" her old handle.

Edit: RINA has seen our message to her about the handle and I've talked to the person who's "safekeeping" her handle, so if the situation with her account ever gets resolved by Twitter, we can help RINA get her handle back.

That's weird all the tweets I've liked and replied to on Rina's twitter have just reappeared in my feed. They haven't been there all day, the profile page shows up again still with Levy @scandal_rina.

It's odd because I just sent a tweet to the person who took her handle asking if they were still Rina or if Rina was Rina again , to which they replied twitter seem slow to restore accounts.

Is it restored or not ?

It has not been restored yet. It probably won't be for a while.

If you're looking at the scandal_rina account via the Twitter app, it doesn't show it properly. You need to look at it on a browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Firefox) to see that the handle is still being held by the guy who's "safekeeping" it.

I've told RINA via a DM on Instagram the situation and she's read the message, and I've also let the guy know I can be the intermediary to help them to communicate with each other, which he seems on board with, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Ah I see, just looked on my browser. My bad.

They definitely weren't on my phone earlier though it was just I searched @scandal_rina first and it took me to the guy who is currently holding it. It was only when I went back that the tweets had reappeared. Perhaps it triggered something that caused it, mind you my phone has been locking up the last couple of days also.

I thought it was a bit quick to have been reinstated.

Just a heads up that SH is now safekeeping RINA's username until her account is fully restored! Happy

I'll be in contact with the staff and all that.

Also, RINA's actual account went back up some time yesterday but still remains in the hands of hacker. The username was changed to "suvarite" and they are currently mass deleting thousands of her tweets, presumably to completely delete her existence from the account. haha geez. RINA just posted an IG story that basically says she's giving up on Twitter, that she's essentially letting the hacker have the account, and that even before the hack she was thinking of quitting Twitter on her birthday this year. So RIP for good, apparently, RINA's Twitter lol

I started getting a lot of "Your Twitter's been hacked!" DMs again, but I'm completely okay with what's happening! Thanks to everyone who's worried about itー! So, please don't attack the person who hacked it, nor send them emotional tweets that would make them feel uncomfortable

I'd like to ask them a favor to not bother those that followed my account, and that I'll give my account to this person I don't know lol. I'm quitting Twitter🧚‍�

Actually, even if I hadn't been hacked, I had been thinking of quitting Twitter on August 21st of this yearー! 🤭 Year after year it felt depressing being on Twitter, and I feel that my Instagram+YouTube+blog are just fine for what I want to put out. And, it's felt so comfy and freeing being away from Twitter these past several days haha

It's a shame this happened since there have been so many fun memories on that account, but I'll cultivate my other accounts instead 🧸 Let's use social media peacefully.

Twitter, thank you so much for these past 11 yearsー

Never really backed up the tweets themselves, but I have every single photo and video Rina posted on Twitter backed up on my hard drive.
