I noticed that people have been making song sorters to get an accurate list what your favorite songs of an artist are, so I tried making ones for SCANDAL!

SCANDAL Song Sorter

*Includes all 153 of SCANDAL's released songs so far and will take a long time to get through

Here are sorters for album-only songs, single songs, and B-side songs!

SCANDAL Album-Only Song Sorter

*Songs that can only be found on albums

SCANDAL Single Song Sorter

*Songs officially released as singles, physical or digital

SCANDAL B-Side Song Sorter

*B-side songs from SCANDAL's singles, excluding cover songs and other versions of the title tracks

*The album-only one is estimated to take 400~ rounds. Both the single + B-side ones are estimated to take 100~ rounds.

Here are my results. Because of how they turned out, I have to include the entire thing, rather than just first 10 (19 songs ended up sharing first place).

I have to admit, that in several cases, I had to pick either "I like both" option (if I really loved both songs so much, that I was unable to choose), or "No opinion" for cases, where I just did not particularly like either song, unless one of these was a song I really disliked and would therefore choose the other just naturally.

Two notes on my results:

Songs, that ended up sharing first place, as well as some of the ones that ended up sharing the 20th place, are indeed my favorite Scandal songs.

However, the same cannot be said about the bottom of my results. More specifically, certain songs which I personally would rank as my least favorite, somehow ended up higher, than they should be. Example case in point: Scandal in the House, which I personally consider the worst Scandal song ever, shares 91st place with several other songs, while 28 songs ended lower.

If I had to choose my five least favorite songs on spot, it would be Kill the Virgin, One More Time, Pin Heel Surfer, Scandal in the House and Scandal no Theme. But only Kill the Virgin, which I actually like more, than the other four (but still don't like it), ended at the bottom of my list, while all other ended up sharing 91st place.

Well, I did this in a rush. I'll probably redo it and think harder, particularly in cases, where I was unable to choose.

So i just spent an hour working on this, only to accidentally refresh the page before taking a screenshot. MAMI omg

Anyway, of course I didn't expect to fully agree with the results, but it was a very fun game. Some brain exercise there. SCANDAL Song Sorters 1f605

The biggest issue was, that I had quite a few ties (e.g. I had like 8 songs sharing #4), even though some of them actually never battled each other. (I'm also pretty sure, that some songs only appeared once, so I don't quite understand how it managed to rank them.) I'm happy to say though, that my bottom 20 really did not feature any song of theirs that I would like a lot. Cool challenge!

btw. Believe it or not, I did not take a proper look at my number one before deleting it. I was at first more interested in the lowest numbers. HARU omg

As the page says, clicking on "I like both" or "No opinion" too frequently will affect your results negatively. That's why a lot of songs can be tied in the end, and why you can get your results in fewer rounds.

If you click minimally on those options, you will end up going for more rounds but will get much more even rankings numbers-wise.

Yeah it totally makes sense, but some songs really didn't make enough appearances. I've also just realized: Either I'm crazy, or I did not actually get A.M.D.K.J. at all. There might be some issues with that site. SCANDAL Song Sorters 1f604

Ha! My last place was Love (not mad about that at all lol) and I'm 100% sure it was #143, while not tied with anything else. So I was actually missing three songs! I knew it! TOMO yoshhh

I wouldn't forget A.M.D.K.J., as it's a top 3 song for me, so it would have appeared many more times in the second half for sure. (No idea what the other two were tho. SCANDAL Song Sorters 1f605

EDIT: I gave it another try, this time on PC, and everything worked well! (Excuse my poor editing job, it shouldn't have all been in one column lol.) Looking forward to the album-specific ones. They should be easier and more accurate.

As I said I would do, this is a revised version. This time I made sure I chose one song in every round. No "I like both" and no "No opinion" this time.

It's entirely possible, that I chose a different song between two given, than last time. But still, I'd say these results are more accurate in how I feel.

I also included a comparison between my original results, and revised ones. I decided to split them into five sub-ranges from my original list, and compare, whether these songs ended within the same range in revised version as well, and if not, where it ended (including, if it ranked higher, or lower than last time).

As linked in the page, the code is from this Tumblr. I don't know the exact details about the code or anything, but it seems that the more times you click on a song, the higher it'll rank. Conversely, the less times you click on a song, the lower it'll rank. It's just a system of prioritizing the given options.

Here is my result after battle #823
Obviously, this is close to the correct answer, but not ideal. I chose only a few times - I like both (maybe 5-6), but even that was enough for my favorite song Shunkan Sentimental be in the choosing options only this 1 time. When there was a choice of Shoujo S and ShuSe I click like both. And have not seen more ShuSe. Perhaps I will pass a second time later, choosing in each battle.

..And really need the ability to save. It takes a very long time, I tried it yesterday, stopped at about 40 percent, then got distracted, switched to other tabs. After a while, I wanted to continue, but I don't know what happened, (maybe I refreshed the page or something else,) in general, the result was reset and was 0 percent RINA omg

Well, that was a bit of work.
Turned out pretty much correct (better than I expected).

Top 6 is my top 6, not always exactly in that order thought, although Image is a solid #1. All these are "almost always hit repeat"-songs.

The songs in the top 30 all should be thereabouts too, although Happy Collector misses, it should be in there, probably instead of Scandal in the House, Suki Suki or Shoujo M. And Pinheel Surfer may be a bit too high, while Doll seems a bit too low. Exact order of the top 30 depends a bit on the day/mood.

Bottom 4 is the bottom 4. I don't really like those.
