I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who read "Personal" and saw that her Instagram name was no longer "Scandal Rina" but just "Rina" and thought that she was going to announce something really awful. This was such a relief I subscribed immediately. Didn't she recently do an interview with a 'zine publisher?

That has been a great premiere episode! Rina brought me back some memories when I made a few copies of post-grunge and anime-themed zines back in the late '90s.

At the very beginning, is this answering machine talking about one hundred messages? Or it's just the beginning of background song?

It's actually saying "You have one unheard message" It's stock audio of what you hear when you call your cell phone voicemail, at least here in the US. I used to hear that exact audio every time I'd check my voicemail.

But yeah, it's either the intro to the background song, or RINA added in it for ~flair~ lol

These videos also don't fit the content that can be found on SCANDAL's YouTube channel. That channel's more about the band as a whole and their music (music videos, official audio, etc.). By having her own channel, RINA is able to post whatever content she personally wants to post.

It's probably easiest to think of it this way: SCANDAL's YouTube channel = job. RINA's YouTube channel = personal.

oh thank you, didn't think of it that way. it just seems the Scandal members are so into the band that they don't separate job/personal, made me forgot its actually still their job! haha
