As announced during the livestream, SCANDAL will be releasing a new single called one more time on September 29th!

Like eternal and Ivory, it will be available in: CD, CD+T-Shirt, vinyl, cassette.

For the third single of their 15th anniversary year, New Single 「one more time」 will be released on 9/29 (Wed)!

It is a hopeful pop number filled with the positive mindset of SCANDAL, who enjoys music naturally. The B-side is the "PARTY ver." of the title track, performed as an acoustic set as if the members are enjoying a home party.

I had an existing order from CDJapan all set up - added the single + tshirt and barely increased my shipping cost. I'll have to wait 2 extra weeks from my prior planned delivery but I don't mind.

Would this song be considered City Pop? The stuff (they say here) is trending mightily on Spotify? Is this the point where Scandal stops wearing jeans forever, stops playing their own instruments, and just appears on TV shows with an orchestra and sequined gowns and matching sequined microphones? Is this the point where Haruna stands in front while the others crowd around a microphone doing non-distracting dance steps? Is this the point where their audience stops drinking beer and switches to wine and highballs, and takes up golf? Will they appear in a documentary called "Girls Gone Ginza" ???
Will there be a line of Mami designed dinnerware in fine shops near me? Tomomi signature golf clubs? Will I be able to buy "Haruna, by Calvin Klein"?
Or is it just a song?

I like it. It's also something different from the Mami and Rina duo. Agree that it sounds very City Pop like. Have a feeling Haru would have enjoyed recording this song being a fan of Earth, Wind & Fire. It's a fun and positive song to give us some light during this difficult time.

Oh, I'm the one who's sorry - I didn't see that! That (and its repost to Facebook) is the only place they posted about the credits--they didn't even say anything about it on their official site, which is weird lol

Everyone who watched their 15th anniversary concert yesterday, both in person and via livestream, got to see them perform it. You can still purchase access to the stream here to watch it - The VOD period is available for exactly one more day (until August 23rd, 12 am PDT).

I liked it, different but it's a good different. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and have a guess that this is what had Mami dancing in those instagram stories a couple of weeks back.

after 6 hours of torturous buffering i finally got to hear this new song. loved it. didnt care for the other new song, but this one was a good song. i was pleasantly surprised because some in the full concert thread mentioned that they preferred the other song. and when i heard that one, i wasnt feelin it. so as the encore approached, i didnt have high expectations for this new song, and mentally just wanted to get through it to finally see scandal perform Masterpiece live. well, i wasnt disappointed. its not a favorite song (yet) by any means. i still need to hear the recorded version and study the lyrics and break it down musically. but overall for a first time listen i liked it. looking forward to the release.

I really liked this song! It has a nice tune, very catchy and fun! I found it v easy to enjoy. Would love to hear the recorded version when it comes out next month!

I also loved the way Haruna announced the name of the song just before they started playing it:

For me, one more time sounded like a combo of Avril Lavigne and Michael Jackson. It's a catchy and good song. Have not yet synced into me, might need a few more listens before I get used to it.

It's interesting to know what long-time fans have to say about this song.
We can only guess, if this will be the new musical aesthetics for Scandal or maybe nothing more than an experiment?
Either way, I definitely like it more than the first new song (I don't even remember that melody anymore). Another good one from Rina/Mami tandem :-)
And it's good that the band is constantly evolving- when artists have a real talent, diversity in styles is fine.

It's a nice opportunity for them to do something they were initially supposed to, just dance. They will have a lot of fun, especially Haru. I'm looking forward to it.

I liked it live and I absolutely love the studio version as well, ofc. Kinda gives me a Midnight City vibes. I'm really glad they're trying out so many different styles. Since I'm a huge city pop fan, this is def a song for me!

Can't wait to see a music video if they decide to make one!
