I'm still searching for info on their acoustics.Can't find Mami's acoustic on Martin's site,the pic is too small for me to see anything else that's useful except for the body shape and the pickguard.

Mami's acoustic could be a Cort, I'm just guessing because it isn't a Martin and it may not resemble an Epiphone although it looks like one. It could be either a Cort or a Yamaha, I'll try to do a little more searching on the Net. I'm sorry my info was a little "aarghh!", but it was as close as I could get at the time.

@Eugene: Thanks for the consolation, man... I wish I had tried harder though but I won't beat myself up about it; btw, could it be possible that Mami's is a Takamine as well? Seeing as how Mami & Haru both use Fender guitars, I think they could share a common interest in the acoustics as well

It could be,but so far when i spotted her pickguard in the Takamine site,it's on a cutaway body,her acoustic has a dreadnought body as we can see.

You're right, I just checked out the Takamine site myself; I'm hoping there's a couple more pics of Mami's acoustic somewhere on the Net so we can finally establish what acoustic she is using. Wow, this is really hard work! .hot.

Yeah, kinda stands out doesn't it? I think the sticker is just a novelty item, another example of why we love the girls: because of their spontaneity XD Too bad she can't do the same with her basses now .bleh.

The Takamine wouldn't cost too much in my opinion,even though it's discontinued i'm sure Haruna or the guys working for SCANDAL can get her whatever model she wants as long as it's not a ridiculous request.They are in the music industry,after all.The Gibson will cost more i think,but not all that expensive too,maybe say,1k plus to 2k at the most in Sing Dollars?

Well not really. The takamine have really good sound i like it.
For 800$ CDN perfect for me.

I would love to get my hands on that Takamine for sure, but since Singapore is "money also pay more lah" it would be available at an exorbitant price XP

@hamatori: you mean if it's a customized bass? Maybe, but considering Tomo-chi had this bass round the Shiroten days I would think that it's probably either a second-hand or given to her by a friend/relative/etc; looking closely at Tomo's bass I noticed the mid pickup has been customized to probably a humbucking pickup, perhaps it's modded after all never mind that the body's colour scheme is sunburst? I apologize if I'm second-guessing myself guys

Hmmm hamatori thanks for reminding i completely missed out that bass.School work....Aight i ain't blaming anyone but myself. .shy.

But as you can see,i did not do much elaboration on their instruments used during their shiroten days,as those instruments are what i call "stand-in instruments",when they make it big like now they'll upgrade their instruments and put those aside for sentimental (Shunkan hahahah .sweat. ) value.

That said,it's still a bass that Tomomi used!So i'm going to update the thread and dig out the info on the bass.....tomorrow.It's 1.59am,i'm supposed to be sleeping and my project should've been half done 3 hours ago.Instead i'm doing the project now and i'm still on SCANDAL Heaven lurking anywhere and everywhere and i'm hungry and that stupid bowl of cereal only made me hungrier and.....This talk is getting nowhere.
