I want your guys' honest opinion on this part because as a male doing female vocals (in the original octave), it might sound weird.. :-S If it sounds too weird, I can re-record the tracks an octave lower like what made did in LMD.

Also, I was kind of confused on how much of it I was supposed to do. Mainly referring to the echo chorus right after the instrumental/bridge "This is love kitto true love" So we can either just echo astuffds's vocals or use the part I recorded; either way is cool with me.

Sounds all right to me, although listening to it in context with Tari's lead vox (when it's done) would be good.

Trivia - the Jag-Stang comes in Sonic Blue and my 50s Classic Strat is in Daphne Blue. Thanks to the Malaysian climate as well as her age (she's 19), my Strat has turned to Seafoam Green. Has your Jag-Stang turned green too?

Hey, no worries. At least we know it's progressing. The fact that you use an actual recording studio makes up for it!

Yup I've been using studio assistance since Love Me Do since renting is much more cost effective than acquiring proper microphone myself (but still planning to buy one someday), and I could use their feedback while recording as well.

Pinq, a teeny weeny humble request for the vocal part.
I just realized that the "(nandaka.....) Namida ga...." on verse 2,
I sang the "Namida ga..." lines a few miliseconds too early but it's quite a bothering mistake on my end.


On the final mix, could you please please please nudge that part alone a tiny bit later so it'd fit better to the song?


And also, on the vocal part I tried to improvise a little bit on some part, starting from 2nd verse's "Kyou wa soba ni iru dakede", that I took higher notes (really itching to sing it that way, so....).

If you guys think that the original note sounds better, I have some spare files for the vocal, including those which I tried to sing as it is.

I hope I get it right for this one xD

I have to admit I only did one pass in listening to the mix so I can't really see what's missing.

All I can say is great job everyone! And it was nice to hear everyone together again.

Unlike last time, I'll try to keep you guys updated with the video progress. I'm currently working on the rough cuts before I apply anything sort like color or text.


About our video,
Here's my approach for the video, *cough*, it's going to be a bit long:

For this song, I think I will not use split screen as I did on Love Me Do, and I try to keep it simple. I aim to make people smile while watching and listening to the song and as much as I can, to make a better video than LMD. (Blame Take Me Out new MV, ugh!). I am still new to video-work, but I'll do my best to keep it quick.


So... aside from our performance videos, I've been collecting shots and videos. I will call these the "other videos".

Given the tone of the song, I've been recording daily scenes, night and morning scenery, the sky, cafe, things like that..., and asked for some relatives' for their photos and videos (eg a friend with her husband and her baby, another friend for her snaps with her boyfriend, anything I find very sweet (and also permitted to be used in our video).

AND I would love to have videos from all of you guys as well! Like videos with friends, activities, or moments with families, if that is OK to be used.
(I understand if some of us wouldn't be too comfortable with being too open in the internet). And still waiting for them as I work on the rest of the shots with us performing.

(Again, if you prefer to not letting the face showed in the video, I'll figure a way to keep the identity from being recognizable)

Note that of course, if you are okay with this approach, we won't have as much performance shots as we did in the previous SH Cover Band projects. Probably 60 (performance):40 (others), that is why I hope we are also within the frame of the other videos as well.


What do you think? Is it okay for me to go on with this direction?

I hope I can make a video this song deserves!

I may not be able to take more videos but I have a large archive of shots in my HDD. I'll have a look see and see if any are relevant to the theme for this.. *koff* PV. hehe.
