And yes, the PV will be aired August 2nd, 8:00 pm JST, only to CLUB SCANDAL (their Japanese mobile fan club) members.

Literally, the bottom text says "Ban lifted for 24 hours"; could possibly mean that the video will be aired for 24 hours/will be available for 24 hours? idk. I hate it when there's just a sequence of kanji posted like that; it makes it difficult to interpret it exactly. :P

Does that mean the PV will be available online?  If so, where can I expect it to be?

Oh, so that screenshot was taken from the PV making-of video that's posted on CLUB SCANDAL (their Japanese mobile fan club), so it probably means that the 24 hour thing will only be available there and only to members.

Not sure yet when exactly it'll be aired to the public, but it'll probably be around the same time. I'm sure the scandal_band Twitter will post about it eventually.

But...why would they only show it for 24 hours? If they do that there is a very high chance it ends up on youtube anyway and then the "official" release will be stupid no?

Okay, so it turns out that the full "Kagen no Tsuki" PV will be available online and to the public for 24 hours from August 2nd 8:00 pm JST to August 3rd 8:00 pm JST on SCANDAL's official YouTube channel. Their channel is, of course, only available to people in Japan, but it can be viewed if you use a proxy server (an SH member explained how to do so here).

Why would you put a youtube channel only for japanese when you are a band? Doesn't make any sense because you miss many international viewers.

 I would guess there is legal limitations of licenses and different kind of contracts to have something official internationally online in the professional music business

Yeah I suppose so but... Isn't it the point of any band/sponsor/whatever to reach the most people they can? What good could it be to limit it to japanese people only? Whatever contract/company wants this, it makes no sense to me especially in this case. They are a band that sells music, more international fans = more sells. But yeah whatever, just found it weird =P

There's a gazillion reasons and justifications for region lockouts, usually things to do with rights management etc etc. It is possible for example for two or more separate entities to have the rights to the same piece of intelectual property (IP) in different regions, each with its own terms and conditions.

It can't be explained in simple terms (at least not by a layman like myself anyway) but it's always been that way. It doesn't have to make sense to the consumer, it just has to be legal. Complaining does absolutely no good and makes no difference, in this case.

We certainly can't blame the band or their reps, it's just how the system works.

It's not that big a deal anyway, region locks are easy enough to circumvent.

The song sounded better with the MV, but the SHINOS thing at the start was totally unnecessary. LOL. Not sure what to say about the MV. It had a 'SCANDAL no Theme' feel on some scenes. RINA's lipstick was ..... haha. I should say I'm not impressed, but it's not bad at all. Can't they just use a better music video director the next time?

The song's grown on me quite a bit.  I'm starting to really like it, even before I watched the PV.

Speaking of the PV, I expected scenes where they walked along the beach at night or something.  I was wrong.  We get a random white rabbit and Rina's lipstick.  Overall, I liked it, especially the settings, although I didn't like it as much as the Robot SCANDAL video even though Timo couldn't lip sync in that one haha.

The sudden walking out does grab you off guard though haha

The PV is nice ... it's quite ok for me although again I want to praise the simplicity of the concept. Does the song in contrast with Awanai or something? Haha... still love the song though.
