Fellow Canadian fan here, from Montréal. I'm actually French too, but I've been living in Canada since 2001 and will certainly spend the rest of my life here.

I don't know how popular they are in Canada. I'm guessing not very. Even my Japan loving friends who love animes and attend Japanese culture conventions, don't know about them . Maybe the safe thing to do for them would be to attend an anime festival / Japanese culture event like ACen to draw the Japanese lovers. Maybe someday they'll stop by Anime North in Toronto for a panel and autograph session, along with a concert in a nearby venue. We can only hope...

nobody i know knows them...

@flyingwill: I'm from Toronto and like you, I'm probably going to stay here for the rest of my life. I actually have relatives in Montreal and I just went there at the end of September (for a wedding). It was great!

@mamiisthebest: Yes, she certainly is the best, but the other members are quite the best too! Yeah, that may seem like the reality where if you want to see the girls, you really have to go out of the way to see them. I believe there is another person in your area that likes Scandal too, so you guys can go wild and crazy talking about Scandal :v

Even though there is a slim chance they'll come to Canada, I do have hope. Somewhere on this thread (10th page?), they said they wanted to come to Canada (through a Twitter shout out), so we are not completely out of the loop. Besides, One Ok Rock, whom I believe is much more popular than Scandal, have played in Toronto before (in May 2014). If we pray hard enough, that may notice us! 

@clem84: I don't think they're very popular in Canada but this is a great start for us. Funny you should mention Anime North in Toronto, my friend and I were having a discussion about this topic, and he literally, slapped me in the face because the organizers of Anime North are beyond cheap according to him and... I personally believe that the anime convention in Montreal has a higher chance of getting Scandal to come than Toronto. 

Traitor SH member, Zimbobbio, who converted to Americanism a Canadian, is going to the Anime Con in Chicago, and I sent him a personal message asking the band if they're ever coming to Canada!(if they have a Q&A panel) No guarantees, but it is better than nothing ahaha!

If you guys have Facebook, don't hesitate to join the group. I'm too lazy to find the link, but it is on the thread somewhere... maybe on the 8th page?

That Twitter shoutout that I just saw was the best :D I didn't know they knew we existed LOL But yes, I still have hope too, though it might take as long as a few more years. I have this belief that as long as they continue as a band there will always be a chance for them to visit many places so~

I'm also going to Anaheim so I can pass that message along, too if there's a Q&A session (if I can't find anything else to say haha).

Hate to revive a dead thread, but was wondering, is anyone attending Anime North this year in Toronto?

I know some people are going from the forum... and I know some of you lucky people will be in LA / Anaheim!

I'm going to Chicago. We're a small group of three. I'll be arriving Wednesday night. I'm going to Babymetal on Thursday, then on Friday Acen and the Scandal show, on Saturday (hopefully) and autograph session and panel with them and I'll be taking the bus back to Montreal on Saturday night. I would have loved to have stayed longer but my trip was already costing me enough as it is.

I'd be down for a meetup. I don't know anyone who likes Scandal. Just these 2 guys I know (met them only once) who seem to have a vague interest in the band.

The problem is that we're scattered pretty much all over. If Scandal ever decides to do a show in Canada and we all decide to travel there, that would probably be the perfect time for a meetup.

I completely agree with you, 100%. Canada is a pretty damn big place and it's very expensive to have any type of meetup, especially for those travelling far (Eg. Vancouver to Toronto, vice versa). 

It's like pulling teeth trying to organize anything, even with people who live close to you! I understand that everyone is busy doing their own thing. However, I truly think the main issue is people are just shy. I too, am very shy but also willing to meet new people because it's fun! 

Also, perhaps this could be a thing, but I find the age gap differences between fans is quite big and no one really knows how to engage in a conversation... but that's just me. 

@thread: Anyways, I'm just a dude living near Toronto. If you guys are nearby or in the neighbourhood, don't hesitate to give a shout out  Don't worry, I don't bite, I'm just somechineseguy!

Well, I would be down for a meet up - but there's two problems: One I'm 14, and two, I have no idea how I'm gonna get to Toronto. The only reason I think we (my family) might go is to go to Wonderland with my cousins who just recently came to visit from Pakistan. And even then... I have don't think I'd be able to convince my mom to let me go and meet some random (sorry lol :v ) people on the internet. Otherwise... I have no idea. Oh well, the best meeting place would definitely be at a Scandal concert.
