According to CDJapan the one without a DVD comes with an event ticket and special photobook. Its already sold out. And its only been on sale for like...one day.

CDJapan says theres a special feature/bonus available for each of the singles. I hope its not the same special feature/bonus for all of the singles.

@mrmojo.. as we previously talked, I think it would be easier if some could just create a free dvd software player that played regardless of region instead of having to go through several steps to watch it.

Yeah, unfortunately, the hassle is caused more from the licensing issue from the DVD makers than the computer parts manufacturers. Obviously, the media companies (i.e. Sony) doesn't want people to just view their DVDs in areas that their DVDs aren't really sold (i.e. outside of Japan) as the companies are fearful of copyright infringement.

Look at how the RIAA in America is going after everyone for music!

VLC or MPC will work on Windows XP and 7 regardless of the DVD player and they're both free to download and use. Certain major DVD programs like WinDVD or PowerDVD won't work or will work for a limited time since it also has the DRM encoding built into it. Don't use a Mac so I can't comment on that aspect.

Probably due to the fact that it contains a special ticket for a private screening with the band as mentioned on the website of the link, but only in Japan!!
Funny how it's sold out at an online store when people can just pre-order the single from any music store in Japan... walk in... pre-order... done!

I do and unfortunately the only way you can view the DVDs is by changing the region code... or by ripping the DVD into mp4, mkv, hard drive etc... then you can watch it. At the moment there's no free software that I know of on Mac that can play DVDs regardless of region though VLC almost works but it freezes at the menu screen

At cdjapan, if you will refer to the product description (was that the term? XD) limited versions A, B, and C, together with the Regular version, will have a special photobook along with the CD (and DVD for the limited versions)

The items are still available at CDJapan for all the limited editions and the regular edition.

Note that the "first press" regular edition is marked as sold out but it doesn't matter anyway as you can still buy the regular edition CD. The ticket that was included in that "first press" regular edition is meant for buyers in Japan for what looks like a special screening with the band according to the news release.

The CD is also available for pre-order @PlayAsia (link provided earlier) and @YesAsia:

Without sounding like a nut lol I understand that most of you guys and girls are buying all three limited versions but if we buy all of the editions, I wonder if this will give Mr Sony the message that they can get away by releasing different versions of SCANDAL's or any other artist releases... just putting it out there. I'm telling myself to only buy Limited Edition C only though I'm very tempted to buy Limited Edition B as well.... .stars.

Some of us who love Scandal will probably buy all 3 limited edition version but it may or may not give Sony Music JP the message that there are fans who are willing to do that ....
Note that outside of Japan, we're probably considered a "minority" group of fans compared to those inside Japan.

Will Sony Music JP "really" cater to the smaller fan base outside of Japan? Heck no!!
The music releases will primarily be focused on the core audience within Japan and, if sales outside of Japan are doing well, then it's a bonus for Sony, though better for the band!

For Sony Music JP's sake, the company should consider the needs and wants of the fan base outside of Japan, especially if the company wants to grow their customer base and increase its sales revenue.

Even if most fans outside Japan don't understand Japanese, well.. If we do, it's great.
Otherwise, we still love the music, we still love the girls' voices and we love the band!
What more does anyone want .smile.

C: Shunkan Sentimental

Don't know if the photobook will be the same or different as no info was provided on that.

If you don't care about the videos, then the regular edition is fine.
