Toronto folks... Was the email with info on the VIP sent from Ticketmaster? Most venues say que up for entry at 5pm with the meetup at 6.

Keep us up to date on how it goes. So far I've heard nothing about Atlanta VIP I'm flying in the night before. Don't want to miss it Grin

It was sent from Eventbrite (the site that the Toronto tickets were originally sold on) on behalf of MRG Live East (the Canada promoters).

General rule of thumb for these SCANDAL M&Gs are to arrive no later than an hour and a half/two hours before whatever time doors are listed at. Note that doors are at different times for pretty much every stop of this tour.

It looks like JPU records will have both Kiss from the darkness & Mirror CDs available at select tour stops in North America. Probably both Canada stops.

Here's the merch list for Toronto. I'm surprised they apparently aren't going sell t-shirts, and that they seemed to only have brought over some stuff from the Japan lineup.

Nope.

Edit: The people at the merch booth in Toronto said they couldn't get the shirts shipped into Canada from the US. So it sounds like they will be offering some shirts at the US dates.

Wow! I wished I could attend one of these shows, but I would have walked away pretty disappointed from that one. That might just be (IMO, of course) the worst setlist they've ever played!

btw. SCANDAL has the absolute worst merch of any band I know. Most products are absolutely useless and don't even look like they have anything to do with some band. We just want some nice T-shirts with your picture on them. Is it really too much to ask?

When I read the set-list it was kind of a shock... But knowing Haru's comment about it being majority Kiss from the Darkness & Mirror with greatest hits thrown in because it's the US. I'm not surprised...

I did see videos from fans & thought maybe some technical issues with guitars and vocal mics. This fan was front row btw. The crowd seemed pretty full & showed much love to the band.

As for Merchandise. From past tours it's mostly trinkets key chains bracelets bags. The offerings here are rather typical. I've gone ahead and purchased tshirts & merchandise in Japan which will arrive after I come back home. If you can I'd consider going to Rakutan in Japan as I did.

I was hoping I'd hear about a goodie bag for VIPs & how the m/g went? + About the ring some girl gave Haru?

Glad they're finally here they look

& in good spirits. Let's show them love for being here in top form & not phoning it in like some other bands.

And during one of the MCs, a girl in the audience yelled out to HARU if she'd marry her. HARU laughed and said "Ii yo (okay)" while giving a thumbs up. Shortly after, the girl came up to the front row and handed HARU a ring. HARU again laughed and put it on her index finger.

I do hope by time they come to London, they will play more Songs from KFTD Album.

As for the Merch I kind of agreed with you LoveSurvivor305, only thing I will get from that is the Mirror Towel. Just have to wait to see what t-shirts and hoodies are like.

I for one am super jump that they're giving so much from the current album. (Wish they included Yuugure tokeru though) For me this is better than the "familiar hits" setlists of previous world tours. After all even if we never actually see them perform those hits live, we've had access to those hits via "live" MVs and could have already heard some of them a hundred times. The best thing about the KFTD livestream was seeing them perform all that new material usually seen only by home audiences.
Maybe they decided on this setlist thinking that there might be a lot of overseas fans who feel the same way. I'm always trying to expose people to the band and think the few hits they do include here make a fine introduction. Well—de gustibus non disputandum est—anyway, really looking forward.
Hope they can merch a few shirts at the US venues, but the ones I really want (like the Betty Boop) will probably never be sold outside Japan (sigh)

I can only assume that they think that western fans are hardcore fans by definition, and they are not wrong LOL

I really want to see more new songs and songs from KFTD since most of us were unable to witness them live.

Me too. I bought my tickets for this tour as soon as they went on sale for the Kiss From The Darkness tour originally. I do love that album and sure I wish a few more songs popped up from it last night. But more than that I'm really glad this tour represented MIRROR.

I really really love the new album. It's range, delivery and writing is all very strong. And while not applicable for live situation the album production is also really strong.

I got major goose bumps and arm hairs standing up during this song live last night in Toronto:

Mami's outfit looks like it barely survived some sort of lawn mower incident, but I kinda like it. It's like a Picasso or something, the way curves are turned into flat planes. Denim seems to be the theme running through the outfits. I guess the only thing more American would be outfits made out of cheeseburgers, lol.
I'm too new to have an opinion about the set list.
Last time I counted, they were 118 seats short of selling out the venue. That's easily over 1000.

Oh, and Legacy Hall seems to have changed some of the seating, so the GA area is smaller. I don't know what that means. Ticket sales less than anticipated?

That is fair enough, I just wish I’d found them in 2009! Better late than never! Not a huge fan of the last two albums so the set list was a bit of a let down. The show was still amazing! First time seeing them since Anime central in 2015. It was surreal.

Yeah, this has to be the first concert I've ever gone to where you couldn't buy the band's t shirt. Pretty big bummer. I was hoping it was going to be the most recent t shirts they showed on social media. I'm thinking of asking someone I know to buy a tshirt at one of the upcoming US shows.

Something I was wondering during the concert. I don't know if the band enjoys seeing all those people holding their phones and taking pictures and videos. I'm guilty of it too. I took a few pictures and videos during the concert. At some point in the concert the look on Tomomi's face had me wondering if they might be a little irritated by it. I think I'll refrain from using my phone next concert.
