I'd love to read Comedy, Mystery, Magic w/ matching Action & Horror genre books, novels or stories (particularly fiction ones). Reading is one of my habits. But I do not read manga too much. :/ .uhuh.
Anyway, to quote my info in Fb: "I love to read.. I *literally* read anything, from newspapers to books, from graffitis to inscriptions, from scratch papers to manuals, from signboards to labels of any products.. hehehe."
I read anything actually, even the ingredients of the candy I eat, the manufacturer and it's address. Haha. I'm dead serious, maybe it's curiosity but I really do read everything I see. But on a more serious side, my favorite genres are History, Adventure, Fantasy, Sci-fi and Mystery. I've read Harry Potter and it's one of my favorite series. Then books of Michael Coelho, and I've collected (that took much time due to rarity) L. M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables Series. I'm a Jane Austen fan too. And (looks at the shelf) I got Othello by Shakespeare, first three volumes of Ao no exorcist and Kimi no Iru Machi haha. And I'm planning to collect books about Architecture, 'cause I want to study again.
Although I'm not really a heavy reader,I spent most of my reading time with economy, philosophy, psychology and novel (mystery, sci-fic and detective). I also found manga enjoyable and sometimes give inspiration about life.
Ohohoho XD Never thought I was going to see this kind of post I like suspense, scifi, reallistic fiction, magic realism, a lot of everything The last things I read were Darren Shan Saga, Haruki Murakami's short stories book and now I'm reading The Wolf of Hermanm Hesse, then I'm going to read an Asimov's Short stories book...(i've only read of him "The God Themselves") I like to read a lot! But not motivational books, mostly fiction xD :3
I love to read pretty much anything. but I like sci-fi and Fantasy...also horror and mystery...I prefer them to have a good dry humor about them as well.
I like to read Romance/Comedy/Shoujo/Slice of Life/School life/Fantasy/Mystery. Even though its not my type of genre, If I get interested I will surely read it.
For me, I don't really read novels and stuff, but i did read one before and I have to say it makes you learn more about society. As of now, I only read romance, comedy and shounen manga oh and some magazines ehhe
Well, for me it's various..From Agatha Christie, Smurf, Donald Duck, manga (One Piece, Samurai X, Kyo Samurai Deeper (not much though)), to Akutagawa Ryuunosuke stuff, Mishima Yukio's Kinkakuji..that's all.. .clap.
Now That I don't have TV, I'll read more on: architecture, Interior design, Bio engineering, Color theory, Psychology, Journalism, and Spanish/British history.
As for manga: Bonnouji, Carnivorous Princess Yegrinna, Good Ending(AKA the story of my life), Seishun Pop, Goodnight Punpun, and Haru to natsu.

I just finished reading 1Q84 the other day, it took about 2 weeks (but I didn't read every day, just read it in transit and occasionally on the weekends) ... My second full-fledged Murakami novel (but the first loooong novel I have read in a while)! Not sure if this is a Japanese thing, or because of the translation, but it kind of irks me that he feels the need to like ... explain things after demonstrating or implying something. i.e. telling and showing, not just the latter.
I really love his teenage girl characters, though, like Fuka-Eri and also including the psychic in Dance Dance Dance.
I also love Banana Yoshimoto's Amrita, but I'm looking for her English debut, 'Kitchen'.
I love Diana Wynne Jones' sense of humour, on another note. Her dialogue is well written but concluding books, perhaps, isn't her strongest point. Like Neil Gaiman.
