oh. someone on FB said some words are off. but i think if you put short sentences like "You are my inspiration" like that, the translation is correct. but for long sentences i do think it can translate it properly.

Your message doesn't have to be long to show your support. You can use pictures and/or a nice design for your card or letter to show your support even with just a short message.

Getting started is always the hardest part, so here's a few ideas about things you can write about.
- Talk about your favorites! Favorite song, DVD, PV, etc
- How has Scandal changed your life?
- How did you find out about Scandal?
- Rina always says she wants to connect with Scandal's fans, so you could introduce and talk a bit about yourself.
- Do you have any dreams for what you'd like to see Scandal do someday?

This is a great idea for a project. I will definitely participate. Thank you for organising this.

A question (and this goes for writing to Japanese people in general, I suppose): if one doesn't know many kanji and one is writing mostly in hiragana, is it better to space out the words a little, use an interpunct, or just keep all of the characters together in a string of hiragana and hope that they understand?

For this project we're doing cards/letters only because the export/import of a lot of different items could make things a bit complicated.

understand it. Just try not to construct deep sentences. And we're
international fan communities, so it's fine to write in English.

Any other post that has a question that has already been answered and its on the first post of this thread will be deleted, if you want to participate in the fan letter then at least have the decency to read the rules and FAQ before asking something.

I think including a picture of yourself is fine. I think BB's post from the 4th fan letter project about not being creepy is a good reference.

I think it will be after Haruna's birthday for sure. Rina's is toughter to tell, I would say more likely to be just a little bit after, but it's hard to say.

2. As much as possible do not tightly seal your letter so that it can be verified easily. This is to prevent troll letters and letters with the intention to say bad stuffs to the girls.

Anyway, just a tip: put your letter in an envelope and don't seal it, then put the unsealed envelope into another (bigger) envelope then seal it so it's still safe. That way 320x200 won't have any trouble checking our mails, he can just tear the outer envelope, check the letter then seal the unsealed envelope (if it's not much trouble for you, 320x200 )

And for PH fans, you can check the mail rates here. Apparently USA is in ZONE 3.
